On the payroll until May 3rd. Check.
Roughly 3 weeks per year of service. Does it matter grade or years of service?
PTO paid out but treated like a bonus for tax purposes. Is this immediately, or does it accrue and/or get paid out after May 3?
6 months of Cobra benefits paid by Nike. Starting now or after May 3?

I saw a lot of individual contributors fall today from GPS.
HJ let go after rolling out Workday. Classic.

HJ was gone on friday itself. I saw her slack deactivated on Friday.

My layoff call was scheduled for 30m. VP owned the invite, 1 HR person included. Got about 2h headsup. Call didnt last long. Subject was something about "Org Change Discussion" nothing in the body. Lost access to systems like 10m after. VP reads of script, while HR person looks at you empathically. You thank them for their leadership and move on.

I was laid off today as an IC
VP, Corporate Functions and Converse Tech
HJ is a VP in tech leading Corporate Functions and Converse. It's just another example of duplicate functionality inside Tech as the rest of the company. I'm sure that team does necessary tech related work, but you don't need a VP and a bunch of dir/sr.dir leading that work.

What are you guys even talking about – who is this HJ person? Most of the corporate functions (legal, GPS, finance, tech, etc.) report into MF, AM, CW, MD or JD himself – who is HJ??? Or is this another case of our Global Tech friends figuring out the hard way Nike is bigger than just tech?

Any individual contributors so far today? Or are they still working on directors and up? I can't imagine they'd waste a VP's time on a peon like me. I'm assuming my invite will be from my Sr Director...?
Because if you're an employee that works with that team you know what it stands for.

I was laid off - focused on sustainability. My role was no where near duplicative. Highly successful for all the years I’ve been there. Clearly the company has other priorities…..

While you're correct, I don't know that I'd expect any concrete info until end of Q4 based on how they're communicating this stuff. Even if your team has some layoffs and you're 'safe', your team may be split apart due to restructuring. There's so much duplication at Nike it's almost impressive.
This round it’s all schedule to be 30 mins but the call take less than 15 mins
In the last restructure individual impacts occurred the day prior or in the morning and at the end of the day the remaining non-impacted employees had a meeting with the VP stating leadership changes and that the layoffs were complete on the team. Not sure if this is the case but just some insight on what has happened previously.

Are they pushing them out of you’re on PTO? Dropping in the middle of the week?
They need to transition between meetings and prepare. Block is 30 but content is half.

@bgq+1r9txxic Could 30 min meetings be for a big lay off call? Like 15 mins for individual makes sense. But for a larger one maybe they need more time? My first time going through this at Nike so have no idea if they have larger group lay offs with lots of people on a call. Hard to think they could get through 1600 lay offs by setting up 15 min time slots with everyone.
No way a layoff is 30 mins. Mine was 15 and only took 8
