Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Are people in other countries accessing medical info on Americans?

If you believe a company allows employees (or contractors) in other countries to access medical information on the American people, you may report that to a consumer advocacy organization. One of the leading advocacy groups is ProPublica.
You can report info anonymously.

Many states have passed laws making it illegal for people in other countries from accessing medical information on their residents. Depending on the state, you may be entitled to a portion of any settlement the company pays to the state.

Yes Optum is allowing offshore to see Us patients medical data. The Indian management is allowing it.

I find this so funny because what exactly did you think your fellow colleagues in Ireland, UK, India, Philippines, Puerto Rico were actually doing? I can’t answer an OptumRX call fully if I don’t have access to patient data. Go complain to your CEO and Leadership team
