US cut is bigger than those already announced. While Europe and Australia workers supported operating assets, US Houston workforce supports new projects while claiming to help operating assets (at a huge hourly rate). With reduced project outlook we have overhired and will now need to make massive, deep cuts. Europe and Australia will look minuscule in comparison.

Top investment banking/private equity firms, consulting groups, and tech companies hire the best and the brightest, I'm talking top 20 undergrad. We hire from good schools, but not the top schools.
We hire the best and the brightest ... of those dumb enough to work for us
We do hire the best and the brightest...of those who apply.
You think 20% additional for a total of 30% isn’t huge? Remember ranking is just around the corner so we can take another 10% then as well. Repeat 10% every year for next five years or so.
Being close to Ops doesn’t make you safe. Signed, someone close to Ops
Are you planning on contributing the 'daddy DW' gofundme on the other thread?
every person I work with has a very low intellect. Not sure why the company continues to say we hire the best at the brightest. We hire the average 'yes man'
With comments like yours. Nope!
Does anyone actually believe that we hire the "best and the brightest"?
America has already laid off close to 10% via PIP program. Can't see too much more in America (maybe 20% additional). Most will be centered in support organizations. The closer to operations, the safer you are.
All job cuts matter. These are some of the best and brightest people. Must be very sad for the spouses and kids that have to deal with this.
US needs 70% workforce cut. DW is already too slow to drag things along this fr. EMIT, HR, UIS, CSR, all these useless orgs and useless people.
