Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T moving offices, and you, again.

Jennifer Van Buskirk, SVP-Business Operations, stated that the Arlington Heights, IL building was not a go "forward location." Jennifer also stated that AT&T would be creating new regional offices outside of the Dallas and Atlanta locations that employees would need to relocate to be co-located with their peers. Pack your bags and get moving again people!

Check the RTO website, they silently added a host of new locations and are also hiring in locations not listed.

“Did she mention when we would find out or is it up in the air? I'm an employee in Arlington Heights.”

Don’t worry about it. I have the inside scoop from a very bald VP and his very bald AVP that employees in Arlington Heights are not going anywhere except a smaller office just outside of Arlington Heights. Rumors or posts on this website or any other forum just that, rumors. There was to be 3 distinct and separate waves, but when things didn’t work out the way they planned in the last election, pressure mounted on their DEI initiatives. They scrambled with alternate tactics, including 5 day RTO but that isn’t yielding the results they wanted either. If you made it this far you are safe. If you are an extended Wave 3er, hanging on like a tick on a ballzack, you are also safe. This is now all about right sizing the buildings for remaining employees. Celebrate and smoke a bowl.

Im wandering of they will also close this hub for supply chain? We heard JP is wanting to cut as many supply chain sourcing managers as possible.

Atlanta isn’t a safe location either. If you’re going to move, go to Dallas - at least they’re an N3 market.

So we went from “move to Dallas or Atlanta or be fired” to “we’re making new regional offices”?

The harassment to quit will never stop. Is a employee not at crowded Hub less effective due to having a less stressful commute and a possible desk and chair?
