I was told earlier this year that the extension will probably only "save" the DCM staff. And that would only be until the DC is empty. Given that all the floors can be badge controlled, the landlord could rent the non-DC floors to another company.

Bear in mind that things change at the drop of a hat around here. The flip-flop of DC exits timelines is a prime example.

I thought the extension of the lease to 2028 could affect the layoff timeline. Is it still 2025?

The last I heard (early 2024) was that the lease will be up Nov 2025 and people have to be out by May.

I'm not sure if he decision to move the WEC data center exit to 27/28 will have any impact on the overall lease. But it will have no impact on all the non-dcm staff leaving by May 2025.
