Is EM India going to shutdown?

More than 50% attrition
Almost all the work getting msp'd
Teams like EMIT, LDS .... getting dissolved due to poor India Leadership
As a strategy PIP'd many employees

The truth is that now several Houston ‘managers’ and ‘leaders’ are using BTC to their advantage.

They take all the credit, control the flow of information without giving due credit to BTC employees. In BTC, employees work without any training, any EIO programs that Houston entry level engineers enjoy the luxury of, and horrible management. After all this they just badmouth BTC when appropriate and take credit for the work work when appropriate.

So no they wont shut it down, the crooks in management will milk it and destroy it like every other undertaking, but still some time to go

No way it’s shutting down, they are still hiring by the hundreds along with the MSPs who can staff up on demand. Low cost + high quantity + “good enough” quality = what Xom is after

@ytg+1cMZVZxb if management is not measured on those metrics, then they won’t behave any differently

@ytg+1cMZVZxb With a robust process in place, we are not dependent on people and their experience. Look at the experienced traders we had hired, they under performed! This reinforced the fact that experience is overrated. We should remove all these advisors and co-workers too old to contribute in a positive way. Too much talk no walk.

The way they’ve managed HW3 and other efforts is laughable - lift, shift and PIP. No focus on standards or processes to act as mitigation for attrition in GBC’s….

In 3-5 years the knowledge loss will hurt the company significantly….but hey, management made their KPIs in the short term

That is a sure fire way to be successful. Take people with zero practical experience in the field and likely have never even seen a wellhead, and churn through different ones every month.

BTC is not going anywhere (atleast in a near term). Regardless, of how bad the culture and work environment is at BTC India churns out a large pool of college graduates every year who (rightfully so in highly competitive market) would accept anything to get their foot in the door. Whether they would stay for long tenure or not is a different story, unless they want stagnate their growth and become like their out of date, Dallas copies, spinless leaders who are busy promoting world best cafeteria rather than employee morale, growth, and empowerment and development.

To end it, look at their 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 year anniversary awards for people who put in hard work for that long of a time. The best you may find would be an iPod or a tire inflator. Enough said.

@drd+1cMZVZxb an attrition is considered as regretted when the company wants the resources stay but can't keep them to say. This not the current case and so what you refer as 10-15% attrition, it is "desired" or "tolerable" (by XOM) attrition not regretted. You must be from HR for sure and must be following script written by HR head TG.

Nope. One down we have many standing in line to replace your job. Didn’t you see the line?! It is better than begging on the streets.

Your 50% attrition numbers are way way off. Regretted attrition is 10-15%.

No chance, even if a bunch of people resign, there are literally millions clamoring for their seats at a low wage. They will be able to maintain or even grow headcount even if the quality approaches zero.

Actually I heard it’s 100% attrition and you are the only one who remained. GTFO man with d-mb stats ! Attrition is worse in Houston than anywhere else in world
