Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Managers first, and now employees, coming in to work sick

No consideration for those around them. Coughing and sneezing 2 feet away. People are concerned about showing up in the office for their 3 days per week. Have we learned nothing???

If you’re sick - STAY HOME!!!!

Coworker is sick and tested positive. He’s been told to come into the office or take PTO. He is healthy enough to WFH but manager forcing him to take PTO since he’s not coming into the office this week. We are now understaffed and scrambling. I’m pi---d because I’m now experiencing symptoms. I know if I’m forced to take PTO my manager will still be calling and texting me all day and trying to get me to do work from home while on PTO, I guess I just won’t answer

This OP’s post is about people who know they are sick and come in and spread it around anyway. It is pure selfishness.

Regarding your seasonal allergies - I understand your situation, but I also know about 10 people who showed up to a function claiming “allergies” and then tested positive a couple days later.

Started sneezing on Monday and Tuesday. Went home a little early Tuesday and now tested positive today. Due to the RTO pressure I attended an exec meet and greet Monday.

The only people that can give them their walking papers is The Board, and Charles is doing EXACTLY what they want him to do. So no, he won't be leaving for a few years.

Covid cases within the company are skyrocketing due to RTO. WFC doesn’t care and will not be making any adjustments to RTO…

I just came down with it. Was in the office yesterday showing no symptoms. Thanks Wells. Have almost 102 fever and very achy. This isn’t fun.

I believe WFH will be the future at WF, and I think the current execs know this. RTO is a temporary move to push people out the door so they can replace the American workers with those from other places and to cut costs. I'll go into the office. It's stupid and a complete waste of time and resources, but I'll do it and outlast the mo--ns that made these decisions.

We have a woman in our department today who is walking around blowing her nose and then touching everything: doorknobs, faucet knobs, refrigerator handles, water dispenser, copy machine, passing out the mail… Manager hasn’t said anything because she herself came in sick last week.

Guess what? WFC can survive without you for 5 days. Get over yourself.

RTO is nothing but an attrition play by the dinosaurs that have already run this company into the ground. For the love of god, give them their walking papers and put them out to pasture. The new generation has spoken and remote work is the future whether you like it or not. In the same way some of your predecessors never could learn to move from a typewriter to a computer or execute trades via bb chat as opposed to over the phone you need to recognize when your time has come and step aside. These companies will need to adapt or they will die.

The report on RTO attendance. They are tracking who is showing up in the office and who is not.

Agreed this needs to be reported. But to whom? I don’t believe HR has any of our interests at heart. They are there to protect the company. News stations would probably be most effective but I don’t have any links.

while there is vague direction about using PTO, end of day it is managers discretion, although if we stop using all our pto they will just give us less PTO.

I just heard something similar from a co-worker. He requested to WFH because he had symptoms and we had a few confirmed cases on our floor. He was told no, he could either come into the office or take PTO. WTF? Is this company serious? Are they trying to get us all sick? Manager tries to play it off like he has no discretion because that is corporate’s policy but we all know better as many other teams are not being held to the same standards. I advised him to escalate to HR. But agree with the previous poster that someone in the press would be even better. This company could care less about their employees but they do care about negative press.

Multiple positive cases in my team. Manager called a meeting and told us we have to show up to the office or take PTO even if we are symptomatic . Can someone please send links or contacts at any of the relevant news stations? This is not only morally wrong but possibly legally as well.

P.S. I have emails to back this up. Thanks!
