Cars towed in ATL

Just when you thought things couldnt get any worse, several cars were towed in Alpharetta parking yesterday. The problem that T created now caused more financial hardship to employees. Imagine coming to work, and you get out, drove for 1.5hrs, and your car is nowhere to be found and towed somewhere else. This is cruel.

“The company should’ve NEVER mandated 5 day RTO At a location with inadequate parking.”

Use commercial lots in the area if the company parking soaces are full. These problems aren’t hard.

"Honestly the company should figure out a way to encourage carpooling."

WHAT?! No. The company should’ve NEVER mandated 5 day RTO At a location with inadequate parking. It’s absolute BS and I hope someone sues.
To just blindly tow without any notification is just childish nonsense. Toxic POS.

Bro, to someone who said come early. Are you a special fcking ta-d? Some shift starts at 11 , 12 or later.

By and large, the people saying to come early, and the new reporters to your location are just standard ol' management who are 7-4, 7:30-4:30, 8-5, etc. They're not accustomed to working with people who do shiftwork like call centers or the like.

Bro, to someone who said come early. Are you a special fcking ta-d? Some shift starts at 11 , 12 or later. Coming in early just so you can park doesnt change the fact that theres a lack of parking for everyone. It doesn’t magically increase parking. Someone will still not able to park properly.

Wanna get towed? Start carpooling.

You aren’t feeling “encouraged “?

Exactly. It’s part of their putting the scr3ws to us worker bees…to further “toxicify” the environment.

Was that AT&T or BellSouth, bc I remember that initiative years ago. Even the shopping center near me used to have a whole area where people would park their cars to rideshare to work.

"Honestly the company should figure out a way to encourage carpooling."

Once upon a time they did. The furthest person in the pool was provided with a company passenger van and small stipend for driving. The van made a few stops along the way and 6,8, even 10 people arrived in one vehicle.

The van was marked and not to be used for personal business. Folks who lived in communities where the van was not allowed to be left outside parked the van at the nearest CO or work center.

Getting in earlier won’t make there be more spots. And MARTA only works if you’re coming from a specific direction.

Honestly the company should figure out a way to encourage carpooling.

There is plenty of parking in Alpharetta since AT&T leased additional parking spaces from the business next door. People just don’t want to ride the shuttle or walk.

Our VP shared there are separate garages for her level. She never has problems finding a space. Yes in hub.

I almost got my car towed after driving into the lobby. I wanted to get real close to avoid walking.

Park properly and you won't get towed.
Get there earlier if you want spots closer or park farther away.

Be thankful you’re not in Dallas. Their urban outdoorsmen are trying to jack our cars (and shuttle buses)

"Were they parked illegally? (Someone in Plano said people are parking in crosswalks and fire lanes there despite a parking shuttle being offered.) While I know a lot of people drive to Alpharetta, I also know people who take MARTA. One drives in to a park and ride type of lot and then rides MARTA."

Yes, they were, next to trees, or on the other side of the gap. Literally, there is nowhere to park. Either they do not park there, or go home. The parking lot cannot accomodate anyone in that building. It is absurd and next level mismanagement. Shuttle is to just get you from the door, to wherever the heck you park within that parking lot. It is laughable.

"The employees who had cars towed created safety violations"

Who effing gets TOWED parking AT WORK?

Bro, dont. T created this MESS. Where are people supposed to park? up in the air? They created the parking issue. Obviously, had there been enough parking for everyone, people aren't going to be parking on sidewalks, or next to trees. People are just trying to make a living and they get SM--K like this - BTW. The office HAS intercom and they can announce to have those CARS moved, but they didn't. They TOWED out of spite!
