Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Vimals townhall

Not sure what to make of the latest town hall. seems IA will continue, but underneath that will be 4 GBE’s?
Building?
process automation?
Process Tech ?
Industrial?

I’m part of the PMC business, which is HGAS and M&C business ,

I think this will split again, HGAS and HSS will merge again into industrial?

Thoughts ?

VK knows his role. He is a very well compensated transition man. This has been discussed before in detail. He just has to provide a face to the proceedings.

Certainly Vimal is getting blind and short sighted. His comments and reasonings about increased RDE and effectiveness of Accelerator are out of mind.

@r3 we were told that we will recieve 401k match regardless of when spin occurs, but that we should probably keep the HON 401k active until we recieve the match and then roll it into spins 401k

How does the split impact 401k

@ck it was funny VK didn’t double down on NPI and its great progress with made up numbers. Poorly, he still sees glass half full with SV and KD. Their mediocrity and poor execution are the reasons for the sellout season.

I bet you money that most NPI $s are coming from nonsense businesses or previous acquisitions.

@ck somewhat it makes sense.
Sell off spree will continue; HSS and SME are others that don’t fit to the targeted segments.

As spin offs are announced, should see a few acquisitions similar in size to ROK or A&H

@ck it was VK’s -hi I am here- and Accelerator puppet show. It was hard to watch and tolerate the stupidity of these clowns and what they reported as improvement. Except the ISC guy, it was all about -look how great I am and how well I did.-

@ck correct, and Vimal started from HPS so the ESS merge makes business sense and has a differentiated value in the market place.

I imagine there will be a thinning of the middle layers in those merges also.

Yea and LB is probably on the way out…

Entire townhall was "hey see i am still around", I will hold HPS, IA and ESS.

  1. HPS and ESS was earlier one SBG it will merge in future.
  2. Under IA - they will sell off IGS and PSS,only big groups are PMC and Smart energy.

HSS, VOICE are still a smaller business in comparison.

  1. LB is not needed and his team is not needed.
  2. Rest of the current SBG presiderents are more of vice presidents.

Most of the senior directors should go, they are nothing but burden to the company.

Lot of corporate should go, in the name of GDM they are making report corrections. Poor strategy!

The entire storyline reeks of quick profit for the big money backers looking to sell Honeywell.
Stay or sell is a difficult decision for employees.

Honeywell will exit the DJI as part of this breakup. That will FORCE big funds to sell and absolutely hit stock price. It will take revenue growth to restore that loss and there is no revenue growth in sight.

For sure I will hold a short position around the time I expect HON to leave dji.

What used to be big company with diversified portfolio that was able to survive various problems is being turned into multiple separate entities that will die quickly with any market storm. Last two CEOs managed to burry Honeywell.

The businesses will go their own way. Based on the history of previous spinoffs the new businesses will struggle for ten years or so before finding a new niche existence that barely saves the business from oblivion. Honeywell corp would not be breaking up the company if they saw clear profit ahead. They are out of ideas and cashing out.
