I will definitely see a lawyer and also go to the media if I get laid off. Unless my lawyer advice me not to go to the media.

Well Husky was run into the ground by the people. They consistently got rid of any talent as they were seen as threats or anybody that didn't just say yes to the latest dumb idea.

Supply chain tomorrow as well, funny I told all the execs this exact situation would play out... of course they didn't listen

We are being rolls to sit at our computers for two days waiting for a call. That’s not torture at all now is it.

Make sure to tell the media after you get laid off. You can do it using the TOR browser if you want to stay anonymous. For CBC the link is here
https://www.cbc.ca/securedrop/

Cenovus and Husky need to be held accountable for laying off thousands in a pandemic with 11% plus unemployment. They have broken all kinds of laws and ethics.

I like the Hydrogen plant Idea. The AB government seems to like it as well!

First, feel for everyone having to go through uncertainty whether they remain or not with the companies. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas of organizing the massive amount of talented people to create another company. People are still the most valuable part of any company. Seems to be a lot of green investment money floating around out there looking for something to invest in. With all the talk of hydrogen being the next great fuel my first thought would be to build the largest Hydrogen Electrolysis plant down near Pincher Creek and use all the available cheap wind power and water from the Oldman River. Sell the hydrogen and put the energy companies out of business. Set up an office with all of the unused office space in downtown Calgary. Someone take the lead and organize all of this talent. Seems a waste just to see it all disperse.

Safety checks in and confirms layoffs. Not as big as many expected.
