Glad TK can have Think Time

TK takes think time, which doesn’t seem to help her. Meanwhile she keeps thinking how many more folks in Tech she can push out the door. She is no better than rank and file and is not a real Technology Leader, not even a CIO . They are keeping that title for a real CIO if one is clueless enough to come here. But I am glad TK can relax and have her think time , while the rest of us are stressed, picking up departed people’s work and being brow beaten each day, by her useless minions .

@1ebg+1rT9cSxd TK isn't doing any budget numbers beyond looking at them. She surely has some finance people coordinating all the stuff being fed up from the CIO orgs.

The only control she likely has is reducing staff and project costs. Run rate for bau stuff is pretty much fixed and not much you can do get reduce it beyond getting rid of apps and nobody does that enough to actually move the needle.

Costs will go up on infrastructure and other things b/c of cloud.

I wanted to give TK the benefit of the doubt but I think all she does is move numbers around in budgets. She doesn’t have a grasp of broad tech and basically just parrots what she is told. There is no big strategy or innovation. It’s all about reducing the US footprint and sending work to India.

TK has the one skill that Shart requires of a tech boss right now: she's willing to downsize / outsource massive numbers of domestic tech employees and is perfectly willing to do it. She doesn't even need to know how to turn a computer on to do that, presuming that HY doesn't give an S about the fallout that might occur if it's done wrong. It's pretty apparent that they don't, so she's perfectly qualified in Shart's eyes.

TK needs Chintan to make her look good. Not that he is the best leader. TK has no idea how to strategize, or be a visionary except for lemon trees, morning walks , dancing, boomeranging , playing with her glasses and collecting a big paycheck for doing nothing. John Oliver should do a segment on TK like he did on McKinsey.

@cva+1rT9cSxd IMO, Chintan is certainly calling the shots in the hotter/s-xier tech stuff.

And it seems like the rest of the CIOs are just fending for themselves and doing their own thing for cloud, data, etc. It's going to end up creating the same BS that SVB was trying to address when he was around. It's basically going to go back to a "run it like you own it" mentality. Agile is a joke and cloud migration is a cluster f**k. Brady and cloud engineering people should be shown the door for the absolute failure that has been.

For years, ad nauseam, we are notified and then supposed to be excited about all of the role-change opportunities awarded to upper mgmt.

It is not unreasonable, for our own careers, to want and demand the same.

If only merit, accountability, creativity, reliability and sacrifice were commodities at WF.

There's quite a few of us that can check off a number of those boxes and deserve a new opportunity.

DEI Barbie likely just thinks about how many more jobs she can send to India to appease her evil overlord

I’m convinced it’s Ather, Chintan and Shart are calling the actual technology shots. TK just there as figure head to manage the COST of the operation as she clearly knows zero about tech
