At least one Ford job is ending

Four men, including a Ford employee, were arrested in connection with what police described as a multimillion-dollar theft operation involving Ford-manufactured parts and accessories.

The arrests, made Tuesday, May 6, followed a months-long investigation into allegations that the employee stole brand-new Ford vehicle parts and funneled them to a Detroit business, where they were offered for sale, according to Dearborn police.

Investigators executed search warrants on May 6 at homes in Dearborn and Canton, along with two Detroit businesses.

The parts were stolen from Ford’s Rouge Complex in Dearborn, Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, and Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, said Dearborn public information officer Dan Bartok. The stolen items included hoods, bumpers, running boards, headlights, headlight assemblies and more.

The identities of the suspects have not been released, pending formal charges from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office.

I just walked by his house. Canton SWAT team left huge gouges in the front lawn. Oh well. Serves you right.

Holy CR-P! You make a very valid point. The UAW will most likely fight for the thief.
