I was laid off this morning. I thought it was over last week so it was a total shock. Hopefully everyone lands on their feet but this really hurts.

People around us have been laid off all throughout this week, but idk if it’s just slow roll out continuation of last week.

If Boston Consulting is still involved, you can chalk it up to their formula for trimming payroll. The last time they were involved, there was no rhyme or reason other than a lot of older employees sprinkled with a few younger ones to make it appear that they werent discriminating against 1 group or another.
Anyone who tells you that they can measure any kind of productivity at a corporation as big as Ford is simply lying. They can give you number and metrics but they are all BS. Too many projects, too many people fudging numbers, ect. no matter where you go big corporations have no way of knowing what this is. It is all smoke and mirrors.
I have seen time and again that lot of people who were laid off at Ford were better than people who weren't. This process is sc--wed up.

Hey, being kind is free. Layoffs usually aren't due to poor performance. You sound like the miserable managers with huge unearned egos in our weekly meetings.
