or is it AI (All Indian) layoffs coming up ?
Oh, yeah, 8,000 HR folks out, but we are not laying off, really not, we are really, really going to invest BIG... like this Quantum and more AI thingy for real now...

That is quite true. The stock seems to be racing to a target of $300 per share that Alvind mentioned several years ago on a call; after that, it might come down to earth with a huge crash as investors realize that there's nothing to support it. It might be Alvind's swan song too. A classic case of the "Emperor's New Clothes" story from IBM's sc--wed up Marketing.

Damn, I sold my stock 3 years ago because they were going in the po---r, and now they've almost doubled what I sold for. HOW???
Just wait until next quarter. Company is going down the tubes quickly. PR spins wont keep this thing afloat.
Look at market cap total (to compensates for stock buybacks) and adjust for inflation and you can see that the value of IBM itself is not at an all-time high.
oh please, another "Roadmap" and the associated hype, I remember Roadmap 2015 and all the hype surrounding it. Roadmap 2015 was just as successful as the Hindenburg and Titanic. Quantum is just another "1890s parlor trick", just like Watson was, conjured up by a dying, irrelevant company.
