I was laid off yesterday, and during the call they asked for my personal email address to send the details of my lay off and my severance package to. It’s been more than 24 hours and I haven’t received any emails. Is that normal? Who should I even reach out to about it?

@dab+1raSKiHQ In previous rifs, some employees were allowed to keep their laptop. This was offered I think to the CDA layoffs a couple? few? years ago.
@1tqd+1raSKiHQ this is totally normal. They need to prepare the packages. There is nothing that actually needs to be done now. You will have 45 days to sign it. you won't be paid severance until after you sign the documents and are off payroll anyways.
Laid off yesterday and they said would send details in email. Today they finally sent an email and the email says to wait for severance email 3/8. WTAF.
@xfw+1raSKiHQ you should see your PTO, if any, cashed out in your next paycheck. The severance is one lump sum and paid within 30 days of you signing the separation agreement. Hope that helps clarify.
@xfw+1raSKiHQ It’s outlined in the severance agreement which you will receive in about two weeks.
@dab+1raSKiHQ No, Nike won’t allow that. And a personal laptop isn’t expensive. You can buy an HP at Best Buy for like $150
Can we request to keep the laptop to "help us find the next job" and such? Also can someone please update if you have received the email with your package? Still waiting for mine
Does anyone know whether it’s lump sum or what terms are?
Your severance package won’t come for about 14 days. You have 45 days to sign it. You should receive a high level email summary of the conversation you had with Hr in a few days.
They will send it. It’s a busy week. You are still on payroll and no need to panic. Take time to relax and focus on you.
It takes time to generate the particular details included in each employee's package. The process to receive the documents took about 10 business days during my release (over a year ago) and that was outside of a major wave of releases. Regardless, it will come and I feel for all of you and relate to the anxiety of waiting.
I’d recommend to reach out to people solutions via call, just to make sure it wasn’t missed.

What is the severence that they promised?
I was also laid off yesterday --the HR person gave me her email address and phone number in the zoom chat. Did the HR not give you their contact? She mentioned we could also call people solutions with follow up questions. I still haven't received my email either. I will wait till the afternoon to reach out, as I was notified in the afternoon
