Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Belk is a run down hovel

My store has

  1. Rodents
  2. Lack of a/c
  3. Filthy carpet and fitting rooms
  4. No working price checkers
  5. Tremendously understaffed
  6. A disconnected, not present store manager
  7. A RVP who is in the store maybe once a month if that, for like 30 minutes
  8. A lack of handicapped accessible fitting rooms, isles, and restrooms
  9. A parking lot with pot holes big enough to swallow your car
  10. mold and mildew
  11. Leaking ceiling in office
  12. Plumbing issues
  13. No safety and security protocols that actually make sense and help managers and leads/key holders

Is a nonworking A/C a company wide issue, because we've been having this problem for the last 4 years. Customers complain it's too hot in our store and employees have quit because it's too hot. Upper management keep saying "they're working on it" but they've been working on it for quite some time.

The trend in retail in the past few years is improving the customer experience. There have been countless articles on how retailers are reimagining their store to attract customers and give them better service. Take a look at your local Target and Walmart. Both have been going through major renovations at their stores and seeing results. How do you think customers feel when they come from a revamped, clean, organized store to a Belk? I would love to see Belk invest in stores and people, employees and customers deserve it.
