RCSA is taking a toll on my mental health

RCSA is impacting my mental health and honestly I am not in a good place. The trauma and abuse that I receives daily from my facility leads and the head of the understudy program is really impacting my daily life. I have heard of people taking a leave of absences for the stress and anxiety this project is causing and I am honestly considering the same. There have already been suicides associated with the project and I wouldn’t be surprised if more are not to follow. The facilitator leads do not care about family commitments or how minimum 60+ hr weeks and 15 day deadlines are really impacting people social lives. The project is requiring travel to various cities, countries and schedule shifts to accommodate this. Now they have extended the timeline for another year of commitment and have not gotten our buy in. We have no way of getting out unless you post out for another job or basically go mentally crazy and have insurance write you out. They are in the process of recruiting new people to join and there will be no feedback to stop the selection. I feel sorry for you because the tears i’ve cried and the panic attacks aren’t even healthy.

Been turning down consulting gigs for this for MONTHS. Too bad most of the people I produced so well for treated me so bad on the way out.....That's what you get when you hire egotistical managers drunk on their own power. The good employees don't come back. HaHa....Good Luck with RCSA and that deadline.... ;)

What is rcsa

Always remember at the end of the day WF does not give a s$it about us. If we were hit by the beer truck we would immediately be replaced. The important thing is to take care of yourself and your family. I sincerely doubt an executive will visit us if we are in the hospital or attend our funeral.

RCSA is what happens when a bunch of women who are used to hiding in committees and talking about nothing, actually have to produce something with tangible results.

The company is under a hard, regulatory deadline of ~Aug '24 and is stressed because they squandered the first year by not effectively managing the Program and have to re-do all that work.

Post ID: @1fgw+1lVA7Ekj funny you ask this. me i’m still doing my other job bc i have nobody to rotate my work to. i’m managing rcsa plus my other work. the leaders know this and said it’s a great way to show you deserve exceeds bc meets is still a very good rating

Who is doing your job while you are enjoying rcsa?

Post ID: @1cnl+1lVA7Ekj absolutely not. i’ve gotten exceeds 3 years and my manager wants me back. they never gave hiring managers any of this information about travel, hrs. expected or anything. I can see the posting it says they are needing top talent with project management experience to fill open roles due to hiring issues. we would be on loan until dec 31, 23.Then they moved it to Sept 24. My manager has tried to get me back multiple times and basically she’s been told no because everyone’s manager is requesting them back and there wouldn’t be enough people to cover the work. managers are going to be required to handoff more people this summer. I have absolutely no risk background. none so if I was taken. trust me anyone is up for debate

So why are people trying if they are going to leave?

From looking at this, it looks like this is where they are putting all the people they want to leave.

Will there be a phase 3 for rcsa?

by

Post ID: @1dog+1lVA7Ekj

I am one of the people that has been pulled into this for Phase 2. I agree with all that has been written. I was also told that on top of working the hours of a different time zone, there are no exceptions for the 3 days in office rule.
My impression thus far is that the process is overly convoluted and immature, despite going on a year of doing this. Why does this process need so many documents, job aids, process flows? Why are the RAU owners and control people not doing this work, rather than pulling in random marketing consultants and other non-risk people? Not impressed with the leaders involved in this… a lot of strong arming and inflexibility, along with just duct taping more rules and requirements as we go along.
Not sure how a person would do this with kids.
And of course all the buzz is that we will all be laid off in Fall 2024 when they have no further need of us.
All in all, very low morale from most involved. Smacks of desperation that WF is running this in such a crazy way.

@kjl+1lVA7Ekj - I am on RCSA. The rollout if bad, tools are bad, I have made my choice to work through it. I have rolled from workshop to workshop and it is getting better in my area. This is better than BPM led IPRC and the hours were told up front. I can guess which area you are in. If this is that bad and this is really impacting your health and your kids then any good manager would refer you to the employee help line or pull you from this effort. You can always leave.

RCSA is essentially sanctioned abuse. Do not bother calling HR. Go out on stress leave ASAP. Do not look back.

Call the ethics line. Open an HR ticket. This cr-p just continues until it becomes visible. One person can put in motion significant change.

Why do people stay in a job that affects their mental health so much? Just leave

Applied for a lead CO role in facilities last year, a lateral. Have experience in process, procedures, controls and worked other successful RCSA's. Wasn't even selected for interview. Not sorry.

Is there a deadline WFC is under the g-n to meet? Or, in other words, why the rush on Wells Fargo’s part?

This sounds like another scenario where some WFC Executive (like Tolstedt) is making a name for themself by putting unrealistic requirements and pressure on their employees.

Personally, I would do everything I could to shed light on the situation. I would start with my supervisor/manager and work up from there. Your requests have to be reasonable, professional and somehow show that your ideas are also “for the best end- results of the project”. (Wink wink). Put it in writing and send it through email, cc’ing certain people which now puts their butts on the line too.

If no luck, then get a reporter involved, contact the EEOC, write the Senate Banking Committee.

The Feds want Wells Fargo to clean their act up, but not at the cost of further abusing their employees.

Good luck and I wish I could help.

This is absolutely true and I really hope that someone files a lawsuit over it. I cannot believe the cr-p they are getting away with…stealing people from their regular job and making unrealistic demands on working hours, schedules and travel, not to mention the pay inequity. No consideration if you have an accommodation. No ability to get out of the project. I’ve been applying for other roles but nothing so far. I have never had so much stress and feeling of hopelessness at work before in my life. And in the next phase they have created teams full of former understudies who are now in primary roles who did not receive adequate training, it’s going to be a huge mess. Praying to find my way out of this mess.

i’ve actually thought what’s going to happen if i just don’t show up to workshop anymore. you can’t tell these people we aren’t saving lives. they are calling you on your personal cell phone after hrs. sending txt messages over the weekend asking you to log in… this is a level of abuse that unless you are in it. you have no idea how hard it is to just say f it. they do not even build in time to do compliance trainings i’m doing those while my kids are sleep. they told us to be an out of office email up for a year so all communication is muted

Post ID: @vry+1lVA7Ekj i’ve been here for years. and work very hard in every project i’ve done. but unless you are in workshop you have no idea the amount of abuse that is going on. nobody in my position even applied for this role. we were all volebtold and more individuals are slated to be stolen this summer. i’m here to tell you it is horrible. you do not work the hrs you live, but instead the hrs you support. so one week you could be in London the next you could be in LA. so imagine going from a 6-8 shift with small children then the next week going from a 11-10 shift. Yes workshop ends but you have homework after. You have a workshop every day. There aren’t breaks and you are expected to travel for weeks on top of weeks to these locations bc workshop again is in person. nobody is even considering childcare logistics, doctors apts. nothing. again this would be very different if i applied to this role and knew this beforehand. as i mentioned. i have done consulting and was paid a lot more to do this. I took a pay cut bc i knew this lifestyle would not work for a family, and how hands on i wanted to be. so to be given these expectations and given no additional funds.

Post ID: @dcm+1lVA7Ekj OP here, no one applied for these roles, that is the problem at hand. not to mention we are flying all over ever 20 days to workshop in person. again nobody told us this. I have very small children and i’m still nursing my youngest. my workshop begins at 5 am, again nobody told me this. I have worked consulting prior but it was before having kids, so I have worked multiple projects but it was before children. whole reason I left was to have a more steady hours. staying online from 5 am -8pm. working weekends, and again this is not even my job. i have absolutely no risk background. I was not hired years ago for this role, i was just dumped into it on loan. and now they refuse to release me. i’m not even sure how this is legal to be honest.

Have you tried caring less? After all, it's just banking. You aren't saving lives here. Do what you can within reason, but don't ki-l yourself for this institution.

60 hour work week? I live that every week and I’m not associated with this program. That’s standard for my specialty, and it’s not unique to Wells. I chose my profession with the understanding it’s not a 40 hour a week job.
