@168 I think you meant the village id--t. Ironic, no?

@sb it’s ’you’re’.

Much like the executives - you pointed the finger and didn’t realise you were the id--t village the whole time.

@14b it’s certainly one of the sycophants out ‘playing corporate’ - who’s entire existence is no doubt performative nonsense. Imagine venting about people venting like you have a moral high ground - absolutely bizarre.

So sad to see executives make the same mistakes over and over. There’s no mirror of failure to hold up to the employees - those that needed it left a long ago - when you were A) handed their job on a plate by one of your friends. B) stamping on anyone to get ahead

Our ‘partially meets expectations’ CEO just got another job on the side. That’s not the behavior of someone locked in, delivering a plan. It is the act of a chancer, a grifter, a coward. The man has already given up.

This is not hate - it’s just seeing things for what they are.

@sb what I see here is people who care about Pearson. People who are sick of not being listened to.

The only thing sad is the situation - and I can tell you from first hand experience, that these threads are shared around a lot of high performers who agree on everything that gets said here.

I really appreciate you stopping by though, perhaps you can see from the reaction that it is you, much like our CEO, that is at the wrong company - not us.

@sb I guarantee you you don't get paid enough to be white knighting a company that couldn't care less about you on an anonymous board

@x2 same has happened on the Pearson.com project - millions of dollars funneled to the CMOs drinking buddies (who are also getting paid to build org charts for marketing layoffs).

It is scandalous. Meanwhile she’s off in Cannes desperately seeking attention for LinkedIn.

A soulless, vapid, disgrace. Governments buying into a mission to benefit society and we give them hairspray and Will.I.am. Rotten.

@vj It appalling to see that Pearson values the vendors more than their own employees. The leadership happily listens to vendors and buys their snake oil while ignoring what the employee has to say. They happily fire employees and bring in more vendors in some cases like Cybersecurity they bring in vendors where the leaders have invested into products and/or owner by their friends.

Been with Pearson a bit. Pearson is where it is now because consistent short term decision making by a series of failed executive leaders. The company has and continues to make money despite itself. When executive leadership settles in and has a commitment to some kind of long term plan not shackled to the whims of consultants, lining their own pockets and their friends own pockets, and a technology landscape that is always evolving, perhaps they will stay for more than three years and see their ideas through. But they wont stay. Going to grab their money and run.

Lol imagine being this obsessed over Pearson you need to chill. Make sure you tell Omar that you defended your precious company on here. Anyways back to being a ‘sad hater’.

@sb Child you have no idea what you are talking! Go do your homework or play with your friends, if you have any.If you are a man child then you have zero knowledge of the contributions done by others and how leadership has only been about making money and bailing out.

What’s funny about all sad haters in this thread is no one else would employ your substandard a-s - now your worried your mediocre performance is coming home to roost. Pearson would be far better with everyone on this thread gone. Do the world a favour take your miserable sad lives elsewhere - please go. It’s because of these folk the company is in this mess - decades of substandard performers neglecting their duty. Now blame the ones brave enough to show you the mirror of your failings - funny to see the id--t village in pearson is alive and well in the layoff - namely all on this thread who continue to spew their bile. Please go.

Better off changing the NSM to the Pearson Haters Ball featuring Buck Nasy, Pit Bull, FahQ, and Silky Johnson. The game night thing could be Dice with Ashy Larry, Leonard Washington, Quills and Grits and Gravy. Give the people what they want.

@dg
Those Linkedin videos are just general info not really related to my day-to-day work. But if I don't watch them I'm not investing in my career ?! What we need is relevant, proper in-house training for Pearson roles at various levels. But sadly employees are just seen as an expense impacting profitability. And so the downward spiral continues.

Don’t forget to watch those fre LinkedIn learning videos because leadership is too cheap to actually invest in your development

Now don't forget to 'self-assess' yourself and create a growth plan. This will greatly help the Leadership Team excel in their statistics and boost those engagement ratings. Ummm I mean be so beneficial for your career.

Why? I loved the place but hated the fake pretentious leaders who joined last couple years. I was laid off, after 9 years, in January. Thought I would retire from this place someday. How naive of me, sigh!
