That's what most Americans want. Muscle cars or ICE or Diesel driven Trucks.
With all the money Ford is losing producing all the EV's they could have better used the money to refresh a lot of existing car designs.
Leave the EV market to Tesla. They have a very good product which is hard to beat.

If cost of gas is an issue, the cost of EVs is too. Hybrids are a thing
It's been a long time. But remember in 2008 when gas prices doubled within a year and stayed that high until unemployment peaked 4 years later? People were selling their SUVs and trucks for pennies in the dollar because they could not afford to drive them.
Gas has gone from $2 to $3 in my area during Biden's first term. Who knows how much it will increase in his second term? We need to be able to build quality EVs now so we are ready for the inevitable change.
1969 Boss 429 Mustang. Ford should bring it back with updates but keep the body style. If that isn't a muscle car you want to own, you probably drive a Toyota Prius. To all that do drive a Prius. Keep it out of the left lane!
More Ford vehicles are being designed, engineered outside of Dearborn and outside of the USA.
Wake up!!!
The board of directors at these companies are also to blame for allowing the mo--ns at the top to push their mo--nic agenda.
One thing is for sure, Ford and GM management will never admit they were wrong and wasted billions of dollars on EV's. Now, since they invested so much into this losing market they are behind in ICE engines and hybrids. Ultimately the employees will pay the price and the mo--ns at the top will get their golden parachutes and laugh all the way to the bank...
Love it that they will reduce EV production. Produce more normal vehicles. More $$ for AICP. All the money wasted on EV, we could have had $40K+ each year the last 4 years.

Ford can play around with EVs. Make a few. They should. But this headfirst dive into the market at the expense of their traditional products is like a subplot right out of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. If you don’t know what I mean, read the book.
The push for EVs is politically driven, not market driven.
Remember, when people buy a Tesla EV, they’re buying a Tesla, not an EV.

Everyone familiar with EVs knew Ford and others would lose money on EVs initially. Tesla was losing lots of money on its EVs until relatively recently (Tesla made most of its money on selling CAFE credits to other companies). It was assumed that once Ford ramped up production enough, profits would be made (but that isn't happening as quickly as Farley expected).
And what...admit this was all for nothing? What about model e? Just expecting them to turn tail and admit it was a mistake...You'll be waiting a while. Let's see how they dodge and parry on this next earnings call.
