"The reality is that I get more work done from home. Period."

You dont get it. Like the gov't, ATT is in DOGE mode. Hence, RTO that will force people to leave the company.

Whether you get more work done at home doesn't matter. We are in Stank's reality. Period.

Hateful boomer indeed. You’re probably some union slug who spends hours sitting in your truck looking at Fox News on your phone. Don’t you have a manhole to pump out or something?
The reality is that I get more work done from home. Period. Others who are not working as they at home should be dealt with by mgmt, just like slacking field workers.

“ I now think all VPN/remote access should be disabled.”

That would be wonderful. Then ALL the employees that are 24x7 employees would NEVER be required to work from home again!

No more continued working AFTER you get home from the office, no more working late nights, no more working in the middle of the night, no more working weekend's, no more working on the holidays!

Please let us all know ASAP once all VPN access is removed because then we are no longer 24x7 employees!

I never believed in RTO until coming across this board. I now think all VPN/remote access should be disabled.

This is a new corporate and workplace standard. The mandate isn’t specific to T. T can no longer afford the loss of productivity that has been unchecked for so long.

People that contribute to society actually go to a place of employment - so all essential workers. That designation was no coincidence. This is a test to see who actually is useful enough to keep as the economic crisis looms and thousands of desk jobs just aren't necessary anymore.

If every company is doing this, do you think maybe they know already. Hint: they do.
