So glad that Gru and his little minion got to hang out at the US Open (in a nice cushy suite, paid for by BNYM, no doubt. They'd break out in a rash if they had to sit with the common people.) And nice of them to post about it on LinkedIn, complete with happy photos. The senior leadership at this circus is just oblivious to the world around them. They need a severe wakeup call.

What is the bizarre “Leviticus2” note in Post ID: @bsbf+1ot7p8kv
@Leviticus2 they hang out outside work. Common place.
Whats not common is thinking they are Federer and Nadal themselves, after attending some kiddie-tennis camps while on vacation and getting viewing tickets on your employers dime...
Come on now cut Roman some slack. Yes, he’s never delivered a single system enhancement in his six years here, but maybe he’s really only hired to be a self referential taking head. It is true that most senior leaders are incredibly naive regarding technology and are afraid to ask the basic questions as they fear that they might appear to be foolish.
I’ve had drinks with him and some of his staff before, not a bad guy one on one, but his messaging doesn’t seem very effective.
OP is referring to Roman Regelman as “Gru” because he looks and acts like some Gru in some lame movie. But he’s obsessed and can’t help himself.
A quick poll:
How many of you complaining on this board also made a boot l!ck!ng comment on his LinkedIn post?
Another narcissist from WM just posted a US Open pic? Wasting co $
Oh, my. Just read the post. Embarrassed for him.
Federer and Nadal? I could think of a more apt metaphor but the less time spent thinking about lowlifes the better.
The tone deafness goes beyond highlighting himself at the US Open for some sort of buddy off-site...it goes to a whole new level by mentioning their consultancy roles...who in their right mind would think it's great to highlight in the current environment their time destroying companies and lives while at McKinsey and BCG?
Wish I knew who the OP is referring to! Any hints?
"Leaders, including myself"...is not how a true leader speaks. It's actions not words that ultimately demonstrate leadership...and these two arrogant individuals have proven time and time again through their actions that they are not leaders but rather the antithesis. It's all about them...another LinkedIn post that lacks any insight nor says anything of relevance other than highlighting his (their) own perceived greatness.
@Leviticus2 that’s not the point and you know it. Absolutely no issue with them being friends outside of working hours. It’s the cr@p-posts on LinkedIn that are the issue. He treats it like it’s Facebook or some sort of personal travel blog. It is, as the OP said, tone deaf.
Executives sometimes hang out with colleagues outside of work and actually become friends. Shocking.
I guarantee that if someone tried to explain to him why that’s tone dead to post, he wouldn’t get it.
And that’s his problem. He’s actually an extremely bright guy in many ways. Huge brain.
But he doesn’t respect anyone else’s opinion (I know from experience and observation). He’s always right. Always knows better.
And he’s wrong a lot.
It’s a fatal flaw.
hes trying so hard to be an influencer. what a clown.
Robin should appoint those two as Co-Chief Recess Officers.
