Welcome to IKEA. I actually have been to one in Sweden. But I didn’t stalk homes 🗣️
If u get ppl to do smg for free, even if it's useless and they know it's useless they'll resonate greater meaning to it than if they were compensated. This is da trick in the hat
This is how we don’t find out about it often
“Admitting a lack of meaning in the task would imply that they wasted their time without getting paid”
Also..
Model-E: we are more confident that our horse will win the race after we have placed the bet — even though no condition has changed.
Back to the tricksters method.
But but we still compensate you!
in uncertain situations, many people will look for context, and may be willing to accept it from people they wouldn't normally look to like an advisor, despite knowing the truth they may be getting finessed. They may also be more susceptible to being finessed even further, because of stress and the lowering of inhibitions. Reciprocation can often be greater than the first gift; that is, if you can “engineer” a situation where you offer a low-value compensation and the only thing the receiver can gift back is high value, they are likely to do that… think of wrongfully placing you in a level. Then think of “promoting” them, when they started in the low end of a band. Also imagine being told sweet nothings by those with authority (Milgrim), if you're feeling good, your perception of risk is lower - but equally if you're feeling bad, everything seems out to get you (affect heuristic)
The moment we put a monetary value on something and it stops being an exchange of favors, or an interpersonal relation, our relationship to the task changes.

Back in my day I could retaliate against my employees and they wouldn’t go chirping on the internet
@d0+1jqta8npq hard to have agency when there are blockers. Wish things are easy as described. Sometimes we need to relocate temporarily to be our best and come back at our best. Hard to do the first part.
If you’re ford Canada you get 1 month pay for every year of service up to 24 months max.
"They do not pay you. Maybe you because you are slow and cheap. To people like me, they make promises and shake hands.. they do deals and offers. You uphold your side of the bargain and provide all you say you will and they leave you empty handed."
Hopefully you've moved on to other employment. But if you haven't or don't plan to:
Only fools let this happen to them time and time again. Leaving? Yes..that's what people with "agency" do when they get scammed. Feel you cannot leave? Then its the learned helplessness that is the problem and no longer an issue of being scammed. If this has happened to you once, sh!t happens. Happens to you more than that without you taking serious action, then you are the spineless one with no self respect. This is just part of adulting. I think there was a movie (Austin Powers) where a henchmen standing in front of a slow moving bull-dozer yelling in te---r and finally gets ran over, being able to move out of the way at any time. Equally id--tic are people that stay in jobs for years where they are abused and lied to.

You uphold your side of the bargain and provide all you say you will and they leave you empty handed. Ford motor company has unchecked power they can play with your lives and sell you a dream and get away with it. You'll say why don't you leave? I didn't know they'd scam me! That is literally what a scam is! Ford motor company scams! They are BROKE and moving desperate.
Normally, yes this is a practical and logical approach to things. What is frequently discussed on this board (sometimes embellished and dramatic) is the issue of very freshmen behavior and micromanaging among teams. Sometimes it literally is no different than high school. Anyone whose ever worked there can attest. Some of this believe it or not is resolved with remote teams. Remote teams don't get the "sighs" or the stupid walk ups that happen and take 30 minutes of your day before you know it. Boomers and corporate drones that wish to destroy morale and the middle class won't understand this (or will act like they don't).
Your manager should set your objectives. The company pays you money to do what they need done, end of story, If your needs and wants don’t align, go someplace else.
My objectives were written by my manager without my input this year. I have no idea what most of the items mean. Was rush to submit so as not pass the deadline. I’m cooked.
Finally you get it.
Oh yeah model e is the one with the modern slavery and human rights coverup
Friendly fire
Not model E. It is Ford Credit Customer Service.
Sounds more like model e to me
Want to hear something hilarious? One of the new metrics on my teams reviews cannot even be explained what it is for, but we are all getting not met, LOL. Only at Ford / Ford Credit. LOL
