Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

CoE

How can moving to limited pools of employees around centres of excellence, improve a company? I call BS. They are winding OT down.

@dp very little going on in provo
Most laid off over years.. data centres attachmate times.. but very poor delivery historically
Have they confirmed it's being closed...suspect all the netiq stuff is becoming obsolete.... I blame the product leaders there.. impossible to get anything out of them

@f4 they moved them and closed Menlo Park's office, yes.

The US still has a bunch of offices overall.

@dp is that true, about Provo? Some leaders moved to Provo as they were told to be near an office. What a riot.

@dr *most

Some American companies actually require or ask for US support.
We may not need a whole office afterwards, but you're stuck with some of us or lose them.

Back to basics. Before you know it all the employees will be in Canada, Ireland, Brazil and the Philippines.

Also with the sale of SMB/C (Carb and Webroot/Hightale etc) the Broomfield office will also be closed/teams moved out.
