Got my rating: “Good.”
No issues raised. I’ve been covering extra work, stepping in when others left, helping newer folks, handling critical tasks outside my lane. Even chipped in on org-level charity initiatives — the kind that supposedly show leadership. None of it seemed to count.
And let’s be real: “Good” is just one step above “Needs Improvement.” It’s like saying, “You’re doing fine, but don’t expect anything.” Not bad enough to be coached, not good enough to be seen.
Meanwhile, I’ve watched people camp near the high end of the ladder, not doing much, and stay there comfortably for years. They’ve figured out how to stay visible without doing heavy lifting — and that seems to matter more than the actual work.
So is this just where the quiet, reliable people get parked? Or is it a red flag I shouldn’t ignore?
Curious what others think — especially those who've been here a while. What’s next after this?
