Beware of those new tracking devices in the ceiling by the elevators at each end. A simple reverse image search shows they can be linked into your badge, i.e. the company will know which floor you're in and for how long. Next level big brother going on

Badge is being tracked but not by sensors on the ceiling, only the readers on the wall.

I work flex, and I like it!🤑
Much anger has he. Teach him I cannot.
Yes I am carrying you. I know your type. Working odd hours, staying up all night, rolling in half an hour before the rest of us and leaving three hours before us. Your productivity su-ks. You’re putting in half the productive work with double the hassle factor for your colleagues. We protect you in ranking because you are a parent. Take the money and be grateful for what the rest of us are doing for your family.
They've been tracking your personal cell phones for years.
If you gave them that number, your location is known.
Including that pub or motel round the corner.
They pay money for that, but well spent.
To be clear you are NOT carrying me. I work nights from home too. Sure there are people who game the system but it’s not everyone. I’m getting sc--wed just like you.
Rationalize all you want. The last decade has been he-l on those of us that are carrying the flex timers. I believe in supporting families, but too many of you dual career families are taking advantage of the other families.
@dr+1jkcmtc07: Cool. I’ll bet I can’t find you at 6:30am when I come in either. Be careful who you’re calling a slacker.
Good. Now we can track the hundreds of people leaving at 3:30 PM very day to pick up their kids. The rest of us are tired of picking up the slack for the dual income couples scamming the system.
They will use the data when they have a need
Turn the camera off when home for sure!
Or better yet, leave it locked.
ExxonMobil has been tracking employees in a variety of ways for decades.
The real question is "What does ExxonMobil do with the data? Ignore it, Archive it for future litigation, enforce it each month, etc."
They are monitoring your time in the bathroom.
Wonder what happens if I put my badge in a rfid blocking case of some sort.
"Yes, a company can track employees with badges on different floors using technology like Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) which utilizes sensors placed throughout the building to detect badge signals, allowing them to monitor an employee's general location on which floor they are situated."
I work for a research company and they actually do have badge trackers. My company has had them for at least 5 years. I didn't know anything about this until one of our lab technicians told me since had a few friends working in the security department. It's real. At least I know it's real in my company.
Even if this were true FFFUUUUCCCKKKK IIITTTT.
More trolls....if only they stop having kids.
I work from home and go for a run every lunch, every day. I don't spend 4 hours of brutal traffic either😁
