Random question. For all the miserable people here on this page, and I admit, I am one of them. Does anyone actually take advantage of the mental health benefits offered here or is that more gobbley go-k spewed by the uppers to pretend like they provide a service for deteriorating mental health that they have a big hand in causing?

I just assume I will get laid off if I tried to use those benefits. Put on a list of what they perceive to be lesser people so to speak
@OP be very careful about using mental health. No protection whatsoever and when the insurers say no, they just say ok. Proper sc--wed me and still can’t work.
I used spring health and the person I selected was really nice however didn't really do anything to me. I haven't made an effort to try again
@dz It’s far better to be unemployed than unalived. Please take care of yourself.
I was a manager who felt mentally very sick every WEEK day I worked at BNY. I am doing much happier now after leaving that place. Just be like a robot with no human heart as long as you need to work there and please don't hurt yourself for the work people who don't give a damn even if u die
What is it about those ducks that meant so much to you?
I'm feeling much better since they fired me--whoops--I meant to say 'laid me off.'
I got bad things in my head from this place….
You can 100% take a mental health break for up to three months. Start seeing a therapist and go to your PCP for the symptoms you’re experiencing, apply for the leave at BNY and submit the documentation from your PCP/therapist and you’ll have it granted - paid for up to three months.
Especially if you feel you’re close to being laid off; I would 100% do this and encourage every employee to do so.
Very sorry to hear this.
Although I totally get how toxic this place is, This place isn’t worth feeling that bad about yourself over it.
I hope you’re doing better now
I tried a few times but it didn’t help. I’m a manager and working here made me try to commit su----e twice and no one knows it. I used caregiver leave and sick time to cover up the stays in the hospital.
What’s wrong with picking therapists you find attractive? I’d rather open up and build a mutual trusted connection with someone I enjoy being in the (virtual) room with instead of some old fat potato who is in a totally different stage of life.
It’s not true that employees didn’t perform well during COVID. Productivity is up, and I know this factually.
Return to office is about two things: 1) the company doing its part to keep the corporate real estate market from crashing; and 2) control… the Exco didn’t like the shift in the balance of power when employees expressed that they wanted to retain the ability to work from home, plus they think management is about ensuring butts in seats and the appearance of everyone working.
😱😱
@cm well lil boy people are far less productive inside the call centers. I see it with my own eyes. The in office threats sure aren’t increasing productivity to please losers like yourself. Just because you can’t handle working from home without beating the bean bag every hour due to your juvenile po-n addiction, the adults shouldn’t have to suffer too
This Bank of New York work environment is extremely bad for mental stability. It is unhealthy for anyone to endure a non-stop prolonged fearful environment. It is unethical and criminal to use a workplace to inflict mental damages to people all in the name of saving money. Using reviews and PIP’s to threaten and destroy people. There is no harmonious creative productive environment here. If this place was a dog and cat shelter, it would be closed down and the owners prosecuted.
Well… to state the obvious… employees had two years over COVID to prove that they could work from home and while some performed the majority didn’t.
Why would you ever expect to be trusted again? Do better if you ever get another chance.
I once helped a friend through issues and the program was absolutely useless.
@ah+1jvx9esn7 I think you were using Chaturbate instead
The irony of being able to have a virtual therapist or doctors appointment, but apparently you can’t do a banking job remotely
Hot therapists? Hot coaches?
Good Lord… why don’t you just turn on reruns of ‘Baywatch’ for therapy.
We definitely have assorted fruits, nuts and melted caramels working at BNY now.
I used a bunch of the Spring Health virtual therapy and coaching sessions. Picked a hot coach and actually really enjoyed my sessions with her. Pretty helpful honestly. Also picked a hot therapist and liked her as well. She was definitely good at her job and I’ve considered going back even paying out of pocket for more sessions. Had one guy as a therapist on there who was trash, but it’s easy to swap to someone new.
I’m sure it’s just a bunch of nonsense… A very cheap/inexpensive way to pretend that they give a cr-p about anybody.
