Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

StL

Any guesses on when St Louis MO will be vacated and left to the dust bin of Wells Fargo history? My gut tells me 3-5 years tops.

With Wells Fargo Advisors, no city in the country outside NYC has more brokerage employees.

@e6+1jhzmatr8 Oh sweetheart. You can choose to be ignorant but you really shouldn’t. It’s not a good color on you.

Whenever the various changes to the STL campus were first being rumored among employees- potentially selling the entire campus and moving into a different building, the building closures, and then the shift to hotel seating... each one of these were dismissed by upper management as "conspiracy theories" (their exact words).

Well, later we found out that they were all true to some extent.

I mean it’s completely crumbling and disgusting not to mention in an unsafe area. I’m betting they shut it down in the next couple of years.

The floors look so dirty. why don't they hire some cleaning people to wash the dirt off the cubicles ?

@az+1jhzmatr8

They don't want to update floors because they want to do something bigger like move to a new building. The more you invest now, the longer they'll need to stay at this address

That is completely false. Nobody said that.

Really just depends on what direction they go with WIM.

Not going anywhere, it's a site for several groups.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all. BS & SG said in the WIM town hall last year that they evaluated if STL would continue as a hub. Decided to continue. This was after telling senior department managers it wasnt even being considered. Then they announced they were consolidating & closing E building and no renovations would be happening in STL campus. Don’t think they won’t “re-evaluate “ in the future.

It will just house WIM with no growth potential. Similar to Sioux Falls for consumer lending.

Unfortunately for those who don’t want it, it will be faster than that. Leaders have already been notified the site is 100% being closed. But no timeline has been given to the +2 and down so all guesses at this point.
