Macy's DOES NOT CARE about our health and safety. Why do you have signs everywhere saying masks required if we are not allowed to enforce it?? First the policy is no one says a word, then the policy is we can politely remind them that masks are required, then the policy is we can offer them a mask as a SUGGESTION. Notice that on all these policies at no point does it let us ask people to leave the building??? Meanwhile the signs they have posted expressly state "we are unable to allow you to be in the building without a mask". Let me repeat myself. MACYS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT OUR HEALTH AND SAFETY. What they really care about is having a repeat of the Costco incident where the manager took a full shopping cart away from customers who wouldn't wear a mask, which brought on negative publicity...from people who don't follow the rules...FANTASTIC LOGIC MACYS. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL.

They don't want you to enforce the mask rule for your own safety. Some anti mask people are unhinged and you are not qualified nor authorized to deal appropriately with a confrontation of this sort.
@rng+16KrjX0q As someone in AP, I can tell you we were told on a conference call our first week back that we as a department are strictly forbidden from getting involved in mask issues with customers and store management is the appropriate person to do that instead. Dumb rule if you ask me, considering all the other stupid sh– they make us do, but thank you for sharing your lovely perception of us. Duly noted

Macy’s only cares about public image. They love to look good. Remember kids give a donation “ got your six” yet they don’t give military discounts. In my store the lp guys sit in camera room and curse off customers and make fun of them. Yet m will give Blm 10 million !
