It’s awful how much BofA is stuck in the past

Old mentality - it's almost synonymous with BofA. I wonder why? Are those at the top actually afraid of changes or do they just not want it?
I can’t believe they don’t see how much BofA is stuck in the past and don’t know that the new times require a slightly more modern, progressive approach to everything.

Imagine planning a family vacation for a dual income, no kids couple versus a family reunion of 100+ with people across the globe.... but you have to cancel the family reunion due to a global pandemic. Due to the fact you've already scheduled it, and told everyone where to be, you're saying you can't stay status quo and must go forward anyway? Congrats on being so obtuse as to prove OP's point in exec-speak.

@egg+1c5H2GFF we're talking about paradigm shift here and probably in an indirect way you proved OP's point. The paradigm shift from physical to virtual work environment. It makes perfect sense, from saving time and resources to saving the environment (less pollution) and fighting the global warming/climate change. You must be one of those whiny PM cvnts that can't deal with Scope Creep and likes to cra.ck the whip to get everybody in line.

Size of the organization dictates agility. This is no surprise and acting like it is, means you have your head stuck in the sand. Have some common sense. Of course small start ups can pivot and change strategy on a whim.

Imagine planning a family vacation for a dual income, no kids couple versus a family reunion of 100+ with people across the globe. Complexity multiplies the more variables at play.

In project management, communications channels formula is N * (N-1) / 2.

5 stakeholders mean you have 10 communication channels.
100 stakeholders mean you have 4950 channels.
500 stakeholders mean you have 124,750 channels.

Now postulate a similar formula applies to the complexities of business, their dependencies, regulators, laws, government oversight, client impacts, technology, processes, etc... Boiling it down to calling the company archaic just displays your inability to comprehend the scale of change required.

they are afraid of change. Anything they give into shows that employees have a voice or leverage. They will not do that. They gave the analysts 100k so they retain that pool and everything else can be sent to india. It's a strategy.
