Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Ready to leave this place?

Of course I'm anxious, but the prevailing feeling is that I will finally get out of this place which makes me happy.

Received the zoom invite from Senior Director -two levels above my manager. Monday 10:00 AM. No comment from my immediate manager when I spoke to him; no return call from my Senior Director when asked what is the one-on-one in regards to.

Wait. Someone mentioned fryer job. Would that be similar to an air fryer job? Not to combine threads, but my wife is looking for an air fryer(see inspire points thread). Could the purchase of an air fryer open new career doors?

Looking forward to being let go; I hope it happens. Why? I'm poorly trained and thrown into an environment that I'm not prepared for. I have a compentency rating of "3" just so that I can be on the schedule. The competency rating was not earned (1 shadow and two reverse shadows). All I did was finish the modules and the manager signed off on me as competent even though I know I'm not. How the heck can that happen? I'm being set up to fail. I'm ONE MISTAKE away from being fired -due to a lack of proper procedural knowledge of the machines. Just upped my anxiety medication just to keep from running the opposite way screaming hysterically. Come on layoffs, please pick me. (not satire).

let's say it's true. low performers first to go.

they leave a shiite show with a good sevrance in pocket and new begiinngs maybe a needed sabbatical

the dell "performers" will stay and get a bigger shiiite sandwich. lol. yes, you are winning.

it is 100% about lower performers, they make up over 90% of the 5% getting the boot. They are not efficient, they cause trouble, they waste time and money.

The other 10% over paid are not on here complaining because they'll all have jobs on the 11th, albeit maybe some for bit less others for a little more

if you are were on a coach plan - your gone, and good luck with your cr-p performance and attitude getting a new job against all that competition

This nonsense about low performers, sure it’s a factor.
It’s about money and if they like you or you’re related.
Performance is not going to matter if you stay, when you have double the work and are next out the door. Lower cost is a driver in these decisions.

If Dell can outsource your role for less cost see ya
