Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

The real exodus is about to start

So many folks are tired of this cr-p and planning to leave once the dust settles. Ask around, you'll see I'm not wrong. I know the overall goal for this leadership is to reduce the number of employees drastically, but they might find themselves in a bind when a whole bunch of essential people leaves when they least expect it and there aren't enough people left to keep the place running properly. I might not be right, but it's not impossible, considering how fed up everybody is.

I dunno about yall, but my job isn't terrible, I like the people I work with, my boss is chill, and I've saved more money in the past 2 years while working hear than I did in the previous 10 (~$200k). SLT has serious issues, and I'm sure things aren't what they used to be, but I've only been here for since CDA. My last job I had to deal with just as much incompetence and plenty of toxic people. The grass isn't always greener, and neither is the money

This is right. The few people left carrying all the load of the work will realize “i’m out”. When that happens who will create the delusions of grandeur that HO and JD have. Where is the board on this? Stock is sh-t and not improving….

I’m pretty sure a lot of the people on here work in tech. They can jump into pretty much any industry. Even in the current market.

It’s shoe designers and everyone locked into the apparel job market that are stuck up a creek without a paddle.

Any attrition caused by people fed up with this situation is probably part of the plan.

I was notified that my position is safe. But after the last couple of years, I’m getting the heck out of here why people would want to continue to stay at this company is beyond me.

If you are able to move to another state you will make more money. Way more. Portland is city rents and city taxes for small town atmosphere. Not worth it.

I think knowing human nature, most will unfortunately get back to the grind, forget, and keep working....that's just me though

Sounds plausible, but, where are all said people going to find the same benefits and paying jobs that allow them to leave ?
