Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Say “NO” to RTO!

Who are all you sycophants who think everyone will just bow down to Chuckie and his directives at the expense of our own health, happiness, and sanity? Some people still stand up for what they believe in and what is best for themselves and/or their family. If you want to be a lemming and jump off the cliff, enjoy the plunge, but there are a good number of us who will stick to our g-ns and not RTO. I am one and will do so proudly, even if it means getting fired for working productively at home.

Chuckie and his crew “should” have bigger issues to deal with in this company than where your bu-t is located every day. They all need a long lesson in prioritization.

Don’t be a lemming! Stand up to these outdated, control freak leaders who are in and out of here every couple years.

The best way to stick it to the man on RTO is to do nothing productive while in office. Fill the calendar with interdepartmental collaboration time, stay exactly 8 hrs and then go home. When working from home be super productive. The express intent of going to a building to do be non-productive around a water cooler. Give them exactly what they want.

Lots of tough talk from people who will quietly return to their cubes as directed by their masters.
Enough of the nonsense. Eat your pudding.

I was a full time remote employee for the last 11 years and my location was listed as remote

I say “was” because that changed TODAY

Two business days notice that I need to go to an office. An office building that I have never seen, that is 32 miles away and where I will be the only person from my entire organization as all of the others are in different time zones

Because “collaboration“……

Some of us don’t have the luxury of going against requirements. I think going back to the office is useless and will have a negative financial impact to me. However, I need this paycheck to support my family until I can find another job. So until I find another company, I have to follow the guidance. Kudos to those who have the luxury to do otherwise.

How about Wells Fargo rolls out a religious exemption for RTO so all the Branch Covidian zealots who want to stay home forever can do so while the rest of us move on with life?

Op needs to get his Jerry Maguire going - write that memo and CC everyone in the company. Funny thing is, for all the name calling, OP is still here. Hey OP - stop being a whiny little sycophant and quit. That'll show them!

There’s a technical issue with updating work locations on that site. The guidance I’ve received is that we are still expected to RTO to whatever location we’ve been assigned, despite if the our workplace site currently says otherwise.

With that said- if you haven’t personally received that clarification from your manager or site leader though, maybe claim ignorance and don’t ask and then I think you have a pretty good case to continue WFH until they can get their sh!t together to fix the our workplace site!

My Work Location in Teamwork’s still says building is Remote. Until that changes I will be sitting home and working.
Anyone else seeing this, despite getting many RTO emails?

Well, if you feel that strongly about it why dont you post your name so we can track you in teamworks to see how long you last? I mean, if you are so indignant about it, why not? Be that guy/gal. Really stand up for your beliefs instead of blowing smoke on a anon board. Now is the time.
