Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

No eisp

Now im hearing it was all confusion .And that the offer was a vsp to management and such that there is no eisp for associates .Also still hearing rumblings of this place being sold off in some way or fashion by the time 2026 comes around .Seems odd no one knows anything at all but rumors.I mean even if they wanted to sell off wireline it would make even more sense to offer an eisp to lighten the field force

Re Post ID: @esog+1sXHYZSK. Where did you hear that rumor from ? Regular offer doesn’t make up for all monies lost .

Why would they need to offer a ISP? All they have to do is announce the sale of the company and majority of the senior(30+) will be running for the cashout.

The days of an EISP are gone, Verizon knows its workforce is old an will leave on their own sooner or later, this is what an upper management person told me.

VSP covers bands 3 through 8. No 9s were in the file that they shared. Those in management can find it on the page as a link to who it was offered to.

If the email was sent in error it would have been recalled which it never was. Also, we have already had team meetings about it. It’s definitely for band 6-9 employees. My manager mentioned band 5 was included as well.

Management employees at Verizon are comprised of any employee not part of a collective bargaining agreement. There is a difference between the term management and people leader. Not all management are people leaders, but all people leaders are management.

what work?? might as well start installing fios at the zoo . maybe the take rate from the lions den will be higher than the 20% they're getting from anyplace else. and they're too lazy to cancel.
hmm...i actually think vestberg might go for it.

Golden parachutes are for management only. Not the union serfs. Back to work dregs.

Verizon is targeting up to 25% reduction in workforce by end of 2026. This is just the beginning.

The rumor is the eisp is for NEXT YEAR or 2026. Never this year. They are hiring techs and reps so no eisp can be offered while hiring. You’re a fool and you probably know this.

"Management level employee means any officer of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries and any employee (excluding administrative personnel) of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries who is a direct report of any such officer."

You are misinterpretting terms friend. Virtually all employees are considered Management level. The VSP was certainly offered to the vast majority of the company.

Good luck.

Path was written down in value before the sale. VZB was just written down in December. Saying just management was offered can be deceptive because the package was offered to everyone, engineers, and technicians that are wireline but non union. I’m too young to leave my career so I guess I’ll be here when it gets sold.
