Now just waiting on the next shoe to drop, after nearly 25 years of constant layoffs and reorganization a cat with nine lives has nothing on me. Good luck and prayers for all those impacted, hope you find a better position outside of AT&T and some peace.
Long story, shortened. Sometimes we go have to go through a long valley to reach the next mountaintop! I recently experienced that myself with this company, after much prayer a door briefly opened, I was able to move on to a better position, work life balance and much less stress. That door shut immediately after I accepted and a hiring freeze has been in place since then. I’m now in about a secure of a position that you can be with the current environment. Sometimes change opens the door for better possibilities even when we don’t see it due to our own myopic sight.
Similar thing happened very recently with my spouse, lost a job due to a business closure then was hired by another company for a short time. It didn’t work out for various reasons and she didn’t understand, why? Very distraught and after much prayer, two days later out of the blue was called by a person she had interviewed with 9 months prior to this call. Previously, she didn’t understand at the time why no offer had been made, even though she was well qualified. Present, after a short reinterview, was offered an even better position than the one she had been trying to get for 10 years. Wow…did that just happen? Doesn’t always work on our timeframe but when it happens, it’s Awesome! Our time is not his time, so we are learning patience is a virtue.
I’m speaking to someone who needs encouragement and hope during this stressful time. That someone is You!
