Layoffs used to spark panic but now folks cross their fingers, hoping they’re next. The severance looks better than another year of this mess. When getting kicked out feels like winning, you know things have gone completely off the rails. There's a reason many of us refer to this place as Honeyhell.

honeywell has no legal obligation to provide "severance". if honeywell believes there is no likely grounds for lawsuits then they will offer nothing but your defined benefit pension. oh yeah .. so nothing.
@f0 huh?
I hope they get lay off veterans first!
Sorry, but those of us > 50 still have fear. Very difficult to find employment elsewhere and we’re way too far from retirement.
If anyone is looking for the next round of layoffs to leave, please consider this your sign. Yes, you'll not get x$ from severance, but putting it in the past is a lot more healthy. Your next move will likely come with a double digit raise, you'll be able to have a seat at the table, be responsible for real decisions that you can have an impact on instead of being underutilized doing things that you know will not be value added. I have my 2 week notice drafted and ready to send on June 1st. best of luck to all
Totally agree! Well said.
