@OP+1jpg83j9p -- "BOA middle management incompetence is mind boggling."

Why limit yourself to "middle management"?

I think the cancer in this firm starts are the top with the CEO and his incompetent leadership team. (seriously, where else could any of those mo--ns keep a job, much less one that pays in the millions?)

The captive neutered Board (who absurdly believe the self-reporting of the leadership team) is asleep at the wheel and content to receive their paycheck and dividends.

Can't wait until BTM steps down and all those jokers get the boot. They will fall on their a$$e$ without his protection.

Fear mongering has to stop. People are literally dying over this job. The stress. The fantasy expectations. Lack of training and not the right kind of training. Daily emails of passive aggressive messages from management
Never seen it this bad and this unorganized

Unfortunately not a great place to work.

Micromanaging in AML is the worst. Poorly ran and constantly changing processes.

"They had a personality in common -- non-stop talking (when do they take a breath?) full of buzzwords, no matter what the topic.....lack of intelligence, a lack of concern for what other people have to say."

Well done. Perfectly sums up most managers in this place - especially the buzzwords.

Regarding the comment about new software development in mortgage, I imagine that it would simplify the mortgage process and then there would be no need for all these employees. I do know that contractors have already started training. Any comments about this?

Observing from software development in the mortgage side, my immediate managers have been one of us, but the next level up are interesting. They had a personality in common -- non-stop talking (when do they take a breath?) full of buzzwords, no matter what the topic. Never an introvert in such a position. That stands out more to me than lack of intelligence, a lack of concern for what other people have to say.

Honestly it's like this everywhere. We are the little worker ants no matter where you go

Ahhh... 'tis wonderful to see associates reach their time of enlightenment. Welcome friend, care for a tasty cup of Wylers grape drink? Pay no attention to the bitterness.

@f2+1jpg83j9p Already blamed myself first and then realized that there are definitely incompetent people within upper management making irrational decisions. Classic thought for shifting most of the blame. Out of the top executives, you have at least one intelligent person making business decisions for the rest of the officers. During the meetings you know the type, one talks with factual information, another talks pretending to know what is going on to impress the group, and the rest who remain silent to allow the meeting to proceed quickly. It happens in every meeting. Yes, I will shift the blame to the incompetent people who were promoted that was not based on merit. Otherwise, imagine a CEO who started at BOA as a young person and worked his/her way up to the top.

Ah, yes, blaming everyone else—classic move. It’s always interesting how the people who claim a company is a ‘joke’ are somehow the ones still stuck there complaining. Must be a tough situation for you.

'They only promote incompetent people so they won't be a threat to their position. '

when companies don't have to compete they can get rid of the competitive folks
think the soviet union or any country where the government controls/runs the economy
in the US they do it with the FED and its insane amount of 'printing'

That is normal for this azz backwards bank. They only promote incompetent people so they won't be a threat to their position. Many of these middle managers only have a high school education. This company is a complete shlithole.
