app analysts being outsourced?

Regarding the question about the app analysts, they just replaced the current Products VP with an outside hire...and it was a surprise announcement. So, given their history of hiring outsiders to 'lead' reorganizations, I'd give it 3 to 4 quarters.

@nyxg+16Zk9bY5 - No proof but reading between the lines. Ascension Technologies is trying to drive as much cost out of IS as possible. If you are doing your job remotely now, an employee in India can also do your job remotely and for a whole lot less. Average salaries in India are approximately 1/3 what they are in the US. Never thought we'd see a US faith-based organization layoff hundreds of their employees in the middle of a pandemic but it's happening.

I havent heard anything about application support being outsourced. Does anyone have proof?

If I was an application analyst OR any other remote position, I would be updating my resume and skills now that Ascension has tipped their hat.

Employers in Michigan, where the entire Service Desk is located, are not required to pay out unused PTO sadly.

Check the state you live in....some states are required to pay front load pto while others consider a discretional benefit per employer policy. Oh and these systems are terrible now...just wait until India gets a hold of everything. Ascension bad move

You try and take any PTO or call off for now on, they'll pull Severance package and threaten termination

They couldn't even get the Severance Update meeting correct, no one could connect to the Zoom meeting. So they re-scheduled it for today. So awful. Just shows the level of disrespect they have for their employees. So unprofessional.

They are still refusing PTO requests, yet they are NOT paying out our PTO balance. How is this not against the law?

They received 1.1 BILLION from CARES.

My Doctor just told me that he is leaving Ascension...and he is not the only one.

They will regret it! Nobody respects ascension facilities anymore. The doctors even think it’s a hoax and joke. Greed is definitely the name of the game. Wonder what department is next

They've lost the right to talk about "Ascension Values" as far as I am concerned...

All hospitals (profit and not for profit) are run by folks with MBAs with zero healthcare experience.

Its all out outsourcing and maximizing every dollar. $$$$$$$$
