Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

Got laid off 4-6-20 PWC

Got laid off on 4-6-20 along with another person at Parkwood Circle. I wasn’t shocked and was actually kind of relieved to be done working for NOV and mad that I wasted some many years of my life there for nothing. I got a severance but it was only for 1 week of pay per year that I worked. Good luck everyone!

@fnb+14vAO5T9 Oh yeah, now that you mention I think quitting is a great idea, just not sure how to pick my next job out of thousands of places hiring right now, tough choice.

Pete Miller's departure and the ensuing mass reorganization under Clay and his team was the beginning of the before any pandemic. Be glad, it is actually a blessing in disguise. I was there for since the 90's and they were great until Varco merger in 2005 but still a good place to work even then. Clay and company truly have screwed up the culture and made it a place truly awful to work. Very sad!

People who quit NOV are leading good and peaceful life. Toxic managers are not worth your life.
