Just based on some Reddit posts i have seen. A lot of fortune 100 companies are accepting volunteers to be laid off, while still get the severance. Does anyone know if Cs is doing this?

Except, that if you give them your name and you aren't let go = could that secretly affect you job and ability for promotion in the future - are you sure you trust this organization?
In our organization we were given a hint that we should let them know if we like to volunteer our name.
Does this depend on things such as-
Salary. Level. Etc?
Absolutely tell them if you aren’t worried about the implications of being eliminated or shunned.
I volunteered in 2018 and was told I wasn’t eligible. Remember they aren’t eliminating you they are eliminating your position. My request had no negative impacts on my career going forward. It’s worth the conversation if you are serious.

Yes this is possible, just communicate your interest with your manager. You may be included in the first round(whenever that is)
