Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Layoffs today

From reliable source : layoffs happened today and will continue to happen. Not sure how far down it will go but still at a higher leadership level.

PS. The highest of the Hierarchy knows about this site and is monitoring and trolling.

If you think you may be laid off, please learn about the WARN Act now as it could provide 60 days of pay in addition to any severance you may be entitled to

I hope the highest of the high DO see these posts and realize they’re creating and condoning a toxic workplace with terrible leaders.

A lot more layer offs coming in the weeks and couple - three months ahead. Optum labs, Optum Insight, and the new Change Healthcare company will see a ton of cuts as a lot of overlap exists across the board. The Change integration is set for go live in April with onboarding on March so you will know your job status by then. Many good folks have been fired or left which makes it hard for the rest but this is just “standard operating procedure” (not personal, just money and business) in a large M/A deal like these.

Telephonic BH CM is rarely effective at saving health care costs OR improving well being, so "not sad"

I found this on another post about ECS

“Confirmed - I am an ECS employee laid off today. 5 benefit processors and 2 supervisors. They kept all their 13 contractor employees though. Cutting fat where they can’t afford to and keeping seasonal staff is absurd.”

I feel obligated in my role as a senior director who was advised today front line staff would be eliminated to post this. The layoffs today are just the start. Next will be the front line staff who work the hardest to help folks out. Don’t think you’re safe because management knows otherwise, but have been told to remain quiet. I can’t with good conscience do so! Big changes are coming especially for case managers. Update your resumes, bc it will happen soon!
