I hope I get the coveted flagger job during my strike assignment.

@4oer
I too enjoyed the opportunity to make extra coin during the 2016 strike, but the reality is we are in the minority. Most management employees were kicking and screaming and pulled any lever available to get out of their strike assignment. Verizon would be wise to avoid a strike at all costs due to challenging staffing issues and the fact that it's not the only game in town.

I hope there is a emergency work assignment like in 2016. I made a lot of money from OT and made a lot of friends in the state I worked for a month in a half. I heard a few union employees shout SCAB a few times, but ignored them and continued working.

What does that mean the union presented a 5 week vacation. Pretty much everyone gets that already!

Union free would be the bargain of a lifetime.

The pandemic has taught us we can strike from anywhere! Strike from home, the bar or the donut shop! Make sure you send me a xxxl red shirt! Union strong while playing beer pong!

@qqp+1gLbCqw5 You have a really low view of your coworkers. Remember this if they send you back. Techs have never, will never have your backs.

Don’t listen to anti union trolls, they’re a poison.

If I work from home and the union strikes who will know?

Union better negotiate better raises to reflect inflation and bump up the pension bands for the pension to make up for 2010 to 2016 when they froze it and told everyone everything stayed the same.cost of living raise and the issue of the rising medical cost its like it eats up your yearly raise.

@glt+1gLbCqw5 Speak the truth. I’ve been a rep for 20 years and still work every Saturday and every holiday.

Any word on the countless Saturdays some tech are scheduled every weekend while others never work a single weekend. We can't have equality when half of the workers work bankers hours and the other half are scheduled weekends and holidays.

These anti-union trolls really need to get a life. The unions have been on board with this for a while now.

If you want to heaR the truth. The union and the company are negotiating work from home and it’s a top priority. The company has also presented a 5 week vacation, which is being discussed. Everything is going better than expected.

@egq+1gLbCqw5 That’s not true! You’re just an anti-union troll trying to get them to hate the union. The union knows the reps want to stay at home and are working hard to score a fair contract at home.

The strength of the union is by going to the office and performing at a high level. Not a lazy stay at home person. Yes the pandemic made WFH possible., but now it’s time to prove the union strength. Cause once the strike happens you’ll be surprised how many people will continue to work from home and ignore the unions request to stop. Otherwise they will send the call elsewhere.Return to the office.

Supposedly day one is going bad. The company offered similar raises to the previous extension, 5 weeks vacation for all, work from home with added layoff protections, and a 5 year extension. The union denied it and wants vacations to remain the same while returning to an office. The biggest hang up is 1101, causing the most fuss.

Keep paying those dues sonny while you repeat that nonsense ad nauseam.

If anything is to be learned, it is that those who were protected by a union fare better than those who were not. To say otherwise is to tell falsehoods.

A strike would destroy what is left of the company.
