Wrangler outsold Bronco in 2023, 155,581 to 105,665.

Bronco sales are down in 2024. They are pace to hit about 90k in 2024.

Not sure what @1hyd+1rHsfnlX has been smoking

Bronco is CRUSHING the Wrangler in EVERY measurable way! We are now the Offroad leaders.

Bronco is one of our high points and is NEVER going away!

If we can built it at significantly lower labor costs, then this is a win-win and will only make Ford more profitable!

Seriously people? After last years UAW fiasco, who didn't think automakers would find ways to lower labor costs? Besides, if you're gonna build vehicles with poor quality, why pay a premium to do it?

We really should be building more in China by now. This is a good move.

We will be able to take advantage of their ultra low labor costs to keep our MSRPs lower than our competitors.

I read it to man that those vehicles would stop being produced AT map. As stated, Bronco is to be made in China. And we've got Ranger being produced in South America and Australia.

@tlz if that is what OP meant, then OP is functionally illiterate. Any reading of that sentence by a proficient English reader suggests:

  1. That the Bronco and Ranger will cease production in 2026,
  2. Consequently, MAP will close

China is launching the bronco. This is from last September.

In September this year, Ford Bronco got a sales license in China. It was revealed that this SUV will be manufactured by the joint venture between Jiangling Motor (JMC) and Ford. In China, the American automaker is also involved in the JV with Changan. Only the JMC-Ford JV will assemble Bronco in China.

I'm not sure the OP was saying that production wouldn't be moved, just that the lines at MAP would be shutdown.

That's generally how rumors like this work.

If you believe this you know nothing about Ranger or Bronco.

@gnt+1rHsfnlX @OP clearly says that Ford intends to stop production of those two models completely. Not move production. To stop it. Try to stay on topic.

Yeah I heard a rumor that Ford is moving manufacturing to Mexico 🇲🇽 for cheap labor because of the recent UAW contract. Source Jim Farley in the media press release comments. My only hope is that the Union also move’s membership into Mexico as well.
The Ford Maverick and Bronco Sport is built in Mexico. And it would be easy to move Rangers and full size Broncos there.

Not a chance Ford is going to ki-l both of those lines two years from now.
