What team in IAM got layed off ?
@gql+1u6hcVQM Sorry bout that.hang in there. take a couple of weeks to rest and reflect. Then hit the ground running. I was right where you are. Took me a while to land something. But I’m doing much better. wells has decent displacement services you can use to retool. Best of luck to you all.
A few on our team in CIB (~5-10%), all very senior and aged 60s to 70s
“ I was told that as part of severance they will also be getting their February bonus.” makes sense. Add 60 days and you get thru 9/30 which one needs to get thru. The bonuses likely will be prorated tho but paying something is still the right thing to do. The ones that might make out ok are the ones left as anyone new won’t get a big bus and budget this year same so I’d expect more if I was in the group and not laid off. Hopeful thinking at least. Let’s us know if you are in that group.
Gee let’s layoff a bunch of access management people. What could go wrong? As if things don’t take long enough as it is.
Remote folk in ECC ?
I'm in ECC and still see our remote people on.
What city were they in?
My team within Access Mgmt lost 20% of it's staff today as part of Wave 2. Other peers on similar IAM teams lost about the same. All senior, remote team members. During an unofficial call with one of them I was told that as part of severance they will also be getting their February bonus.

Supposedly today is Wave 2 for 2024 (Strategic Location) downsizing.
YuoTube link is to Jimmy Cliff's "Sitting in Limbo". So spot on!

Can you tell us more? Im sorry. 😭
Going to be big. Not sure if I'll be impacted or not. Hopefully not, but I'm under no illusions that HY doesn't have a ready-made excuse for every single employee. Ready to deploy at a moment's notice.
