Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Employee Depreciation Week

That's what it should be called because thats what US employees are to them. Depreciating assets they want to get rid of and substitute with other human assets that will give them a better return. Other "assets" they can accumulate them on the cheap.

Our site isn’t even on the list for corporate sponsored events. No pancakes, coffee, or financial advice for us! At least our site leaders are going to try to do something. They keep saying it’ll be fun but the last thing we got was expired vending machine food on a table in an office that was used by someone that got displaced. I felt no remorse taking two fruit snacks instead of my allotted one.

My location isn’t offering anything.. just the standard help on my finances and weight. I am blushing.

Meanwhile IP has multiple things happening every day of the week. Sounds fun!

"There's something for everyone to enjoy."
Ummm...
When did a Charlie town hall become something where they thought I would feel appreciated by joining?
So nope, that's not one for me to enjoy. How about Making your Financial Goals a Reality? Let's see, I'm on the chopping block (location strategy), so unless a financial goal was to lose my income, I don't think that one will make me feel appreciated either.
So that just leaves the well-being and fitness sessions, because I'm going to need yoga and mediation as I patiently wait to see when I will be laid off.

Wells Fargo's greatest success is its mastery in applying lipstick to pigs.

@ggo+1sNww3WY when the master goes to the slave market and picks himself up a new slave is that new slave suddenly the master of his existing slaves?

when the master gets tired of direct management of his slaves and wants to concentrate on philanthropic endeavors, he makes one of his slaves an overseer or sl--------r to manage things in his stead. Someone he can hide behind.

But the master is still in control. You just want to beat up on the lesser slaves to make yourself feel superior to someone or something.

You are too scared to confront the master.

This is exactly why people join virtually and then hang up their headset and go back to work. Nothing wrong with undermining the system as a form of protest. FHY. They don't appreciate anyone in the US and everyone knows it.

One of the events should be an “Indian cultural and food festival” to acclimate all us remaining Americans to our new lords.

@hhw+1sNww3WY the fingerprint hearts are a subtle troll by the powers that be that these events will be tracked and monitored. Those who attend will increase their employee credit scores.

Often those in positions of powers with an information asymmetry get a thrill by subtly taunting and toying with those beneath them. Its a sly reminder of your place and that they can do anything to you. They cant help themselves when they are listening in on you (for flimsy, made up reasons) or monitoring you to use that information to make a comment to you to let know that they know. It makes them feel powerful. Especially frontline managers who are one rung up on the totem pole.

These people are trash.

No events near me.

What is up with the bloody finger print on the appreciation emails? I get it is supposed to be a heart. But it reminds me of a crime scene. Is it subliminal symbolism?

I almost laughed out loud when I saw that the only “appreciation events” at my location were them setting up a meeting room with snacks in it for two different days.
Gone are the days of even the pathetic pizza party.

Accelerated Depreciation approach in 2024. Double-Declining Balance, Sum of the Years’ Digits, etc.
