Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Share the most outrageous behavior by employees.

I will start years ago one employee blew a solid aluminum plug through a building. It would have ki-led somebody. The reason was they over pressured the pipe section the were testing. I don't know what they were thinking but they did it. It was a major incident probably one of the worst in the history of the site. The employee was given a dr-g test and a few days off paid. There was an investigation and even the VP came out. When it was all over nothing was done to the employee. I believe they are still working for the company and will retire with full benefits. Amazing what some people can get away with. I know others that were fired outright for less.

All these are pretty trivial.
I knew an Exxon high-level who had gotten tee'd off over some contract and subsidy negotiations that didn't go his way.
It took awhile to get his revenge, but it worked.
It was called Operation Desert Storm.

A certain now retired manager who was always a bit too friendly with the young new hire female engineers. He loved making videos with them including one with a red stapler. He kept the red stapler in his office after that. He never met a young girl who he didn’t think was a hipo. Except the overweight ones. They were all PIPed from the froup

On a business trip HiPo boss and his chosen ones friends didn’t show up in lobby to leave for airport. Repeated phone calls unanswered. Beat on their hotel room door until they finally woke up. Totally hung over. Almost missed the airplane. Should have left their hipo as--s behind at the hotel. This after they were hung over in meetings all week and falling asleep.

On a business trip with team. We were waiting in lobby to leave for meetings. HiPo employee comes into lobby from outside. Has obviously been partying all night. Returns to lobby after changing but still a mess. About ten minutes into contractor presentation stands up and starts yelling. Makes a big scene and says they are wasting our time and that we are leaving and that they better be ready when we return tomorrow. I think he was just tired and wanted an excuse to go back to the hotel to sleep.

University of New Mexico recruiting kingpin. Toxic downstream HiPo protected by his executive friends. Too many examples of the path of destruction he leaves to list. The worst behaviors. Complete bully. Vengeful against any who try to expose him for what he is. Unclear how he sleeps at night.

There once was a slimy back stabing employee. They moved up on others backs. This person would bring in reps that were chest endowed. They would try to get everyone to buy from these special ladies. This employee would always get free lunches from the vendors. They told me the only way they would buy from them is if they got enough lunches and free stuff. I was told to do the same thing as this lovely employee. This employee would also do work on the mangers and s up pervious houses. In meetings I along with the rest were dogged while the star employee was commended. Tools and supplies were always missing. This person had an unlimited pcard limit. The y moved around and complained about the sites they were and the people. One time they were caught in a room with a fellow employee with the door locked. There was lots of Inappropriate behavior by this employee. In the end they are still working here. Highly paid and corrupt to the core. A model exxon employee.

Many years ago there was a fust fight in the middle of the road in the plant. These two workers were union members. Other workers broke up the fight and separated the combatants. Management and gge union worked out deal to separate these two. One was moved to another plant far away. Years later these two ended up working at the same place again.there navrf was a round two though. It was c4azy to see them fighting in the middle of the road. They eventually retired with full benefits.

There was an employee whi liked to sleep I. The boiler room. They would come in all covered with dust and webs. One day this genius proped open the door and left it open. The draft of air fueled the fire and a flame erupted from the boiler. A fire was started and burned some of the boiler room. The supervisor cleaned up the mess and covered up the incident. Once this genius of an employee left the water on at a faucet. This flooded the building. The next day instead of helping clean up the mess they said their stomach hurt and spent the day in yhe bathroom. I along with others cleaned up their mess.

Once upon a time many years ago an employee lost it at work. They screamed at an engineer and cursed at them. The engineer ran away and told HR. The unstable employee was asked to go meet with HR and not return to work. The employee was then asked to attend anger management therapy. They were in therapy for many months. They were paid to attend full pay. It was like a vacation for them. The employee came back and was ok for a few months. After about 4 months there was another incident and the employee went away again. This time for 3 months. There was no drop in ranking or piping. The employee even got a kudos for completing the anger management therapy. Thus employee made it to full retirement. I know persons that are piped because of a rude comment or speaking up to a boss. They call it inappropriate communication.

There was once an employee that had said the had an engineering degree from a university that was due during Hurricane Katrina. Exxon hired this employee site unseen. The was a great hope. This employee started off by changing his vacation time from 2 to 3 weeks. Then they bought items that disappeared from the site. Not much work was done by this individual. All the complaints were ignored by management. Finally they were installing pirated software on exxon computers. This is what I think got them terminated. When the desk of this lovely worker was cleaned out it was found to contain id's and social security cards of employees of the site. The employee was copying and using fellow employees Information to take out loans in their names. This employee was a criminal.

My manager constantly lies to upper management, promotes falsifying documents and te--orizes her staff. Volunteered for upper management work, gave it to the admin and then threatened the admin with their job if they didn’t do it. You guessed it, she’s still
Employed.

Once there was a worker who could not focus on tasks. They were violent and moody. They threw chairs across the rooms and insulted other workers. Everyone was scared if them. This worker slept during the day and was groggy all day. They left early and always asked for raises They did not deserve. They would sit at their desk all day and do no work.they would watch movies on their phone and could not focus on their work. They had a Fish tank on their desk and would spend all day tending it. An engineer complained to the supervisor that their work was not being done and the employee was playing wither fish tank. The supervisor told the engineer that the fish tank was good for the employee. The only thing this employee was required to do was not fight with fellow employees. No actual work was required from this person. Thus person
Lasted 10 years at exxon. Eventually they met a violent person just like themselves. A fight ensued and both of these violent persons were fired. After they were fired the supervisor told me the employee was told to behave and they were doing so good. Their ranking was going up because they did not fight with anyone. This employee was tolorated far too long. I this person did not fight I garrantee they would still be here probably promoted.

There was an employee that refused to come to work during the covid time. This person argued it was dangerous to come to the office because they might get exposed to covid. They were off working from home for 1 year. Another employee was doing the work for this exceptional person. This person even created a job for themselves and was an intermediate between the engineers and lab personnel. I was told after one week off during covid I needed to come in to work. This lovely worker finally retired. At the going away party every was saying what an exceptional worker they were. Qoutes like a model exxon employee were used. It made me sick.
