Remember: PIP is Love

It's Cool Pippin's Season! Remember that this time of year, the PIP comes 'round because the company cares about your performance. While this may come as a shock, just sit back, take a breath, and let it sink in....real deep.

Is PIP code word for "Love you long time?" If so, I want a 3some.

You are correct - you'd have to do something egregious to get outright fired. HOWEVER, you can still collect unemployment even if you take the PIL option once put on MLRP. The paperwork you sign for the PIL states that the company won't contest an unemployment claim.

If you get the paperwork, make sure to wait the full 3 weeks (21 calendar days) before choosing the PIL. This allows you to get more salary while you're "thinking about it" (aka - F*king off and collecting a paycheck while bossman can't do any coercion). After the 3 weeks, you have 1 week to change your mind - make sure to tell your boss that you could be swayed...only to not change your mind. This gets you an additional month of salary before the PIL even officially starts.

I am waiting and willing for my pip after 55. I would rather get them to fire me though. Less paper work and unemployment. I don't think I could get fired by just not working or comming in. I would have to do something drastic like dr-gs g-ns or harassment. We will see how far I can go.
