Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Southeast

So Southeast happened almost 10 months ago now. We’ve lost everything from our president, controller, service vp, HR, along with many other crucial people. It’s a ghost town. We work on a skeleton crew all the time.

Most were forced out and some left in their own because they knew they’d be forced out too. Basically the largest core in the group takes charge and calls all the shots. The smaller cores get absorbed in. That’s been our experience so far.

Situations, people, and experiences can look completely different when you give yourself a different perspective.

The simple fact that someone from Berney or any XBS core for that matter would post such divisive comments during this time of stress and worry around the world speaks volumes. #Helpeachother

I worked at Berney for years. Let me tell you from experience that GDP was completely incompetent in their reporting. SOA was like a mouse trying to defeat a lion. Everything they said was silly and they let their emotions dictate every conversation. The two companies looked at Berney as being some monster taking over the two smaller cores but what they didn’t see was the big picture and how, with their cooperation, all three cores could have come together and prospered. It’s hilarious to me that anyone at SOA would even say Berney was the hostile core in this merger with how they conducted themselves. GDP was run like a mom and pop store with a controller who was way in over her head. This isn’t about core vs core but both companies made sure it became that in the end. SOA management is an absolute nightmare to deal with as other cores we had spoken to had said. Don’t believe everything you hear people. There are a lot of bitter folks working at these two cores.

I’ve never known SOA to offer help to any core. Holier than thou responses got to the point that no one wanted to deal with them. Glad Berney is in the mix to put you in your place. You reap what you sow.

I work for another core outside of xbs se. I can say Berney handles work most efficiently and in a timely manner. More so than SOA of GDP ever did. OOGs are smoother, response times are spot on, payables impeccable, and correspondences are friendlier. It’s been a pleasure to speak with employees that know what they are doing and understand how to do it.

I know someone who worked at SOA, she said Berney treated them like c-ap and refused their help, so ridiculous!!

I don’t understand why it’s core against core all of a sudden. Joining forces to centralize the work load instead of leaving the smaller cores to drift away at sea seemed like a wise business decision. At least Xerox chose to combine the locations instead of just shutting them down. Those who left did of their own accord, not that they were asked or pushed away. Accountability suddenly making people run for the hills has the appearance of hidden issues they didn’t want seen.

What’s your point? Neither SOA nor GDP had the experience to run a multi-state company.
