Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Yeah

Something fd up when you live paycheck to paycheck after 20+ years at a BANK, never got a good raise after 2008! I think it’s time I get out of this banking industry.

I’d need to see your budget before accusing Wells of anything. Seems a bit fishy to me. It’s known that Wells pays more than its direct competitors in general.

WF is a fine example of a company that heavily invests in vises to use on their employees' careers.

I followed a similar path, the problem now is that HY isn't allowing entry level people to move up in the same way. Sure, you can earn a promotion, but you'll get a 0% raise to go with a vague promise to try to get you something during the next merit increase. Employees can build a future through education and training, but it's nearly impossible to build that future HERE, and that's not a coincidence. It's exactly how HY wants it.

yeah banking used to be a good white collar job. Today i go into the office and it looks like Ha--s and a Indian Call center got together to do banking, because they do such a good job in their home countries. Banking is a horrible field. I told my kids even if they're smart these companies will drive their wages in the ground with people from the 3rd world. Better to get a job in Gov't and work 2 hour days and have outside consultants do the work while you take long vacations.

the only thing f'd up is that you haven't don't anything over the last 20 years to change your situation. When I started with the bank 20+ years ago I was making $10 per hr. Since then I've gone to college and obtained a BS and MBA, taking lots of various trainings over the heats and moved around and up within the company to where on an hour basis based on a 40hr work week am making $150 per hour. time to $h!t or get off the pot

You must be single, no dependents, and living at home with your parents. If I came home after work complaining to my wife how bad my raises have been for the past 16 years I shudder to think about what would be happening!

YIKES!

It is well past the time to su-k it up and move on my friend.

Paycheck to paycheck for 20 years.
I can't imagine doing that.
What in god's name have you been doing all this time?
Your spare parts bud, it'd all on you.

What took you so long to figure it out? After 20 years there and raises not acceptable starting in 2008 means it took you 16 years to come to the conclusion to make a job change!
Looks to me like this falls on you, good luck at your next job!

When you don’t pay the people who do the work to drive the stock prices up, it’s hard for our 30 million dollar CEO to say that Wells Fargo isn’t anything more than a federally regulated pyramid scheme.🤷🏻
