Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Retail quota

Any talk on when retail employee’s will start getting a quota again? Any chance that they might get rid of commission all together ? Super appreciative of Verizon and how they are taking care of us at this time but I would love the chance to at least try and make more than our at risk. I mean even if it’s a ramp up type of scenario that would be great

@irc+15a5PMYr They might be saving with care reps at home but they are not with sales reps. Right now they are getting their hourly and commission base. Most sales reps don’t even hit their target amount so they are coming up. Plus they don’t have to pay for gas and food eating out. The reps are going back to the stores when things get better. That’s just plan and simple

Yes they are saving money by not having commissions. They must will be there for sure. The point is long term they are paying out less without commission. They have retail employees working care at a fraction of what they pay most care reps. Paying no OT etc. Trust me they are saving

Verizon and Hans will take this opportunity to change how retail works for ever. Hands down they will do everything they can to get rid of commissions or change how it works all together. I would say same no commission model till September. Retail traffic is down, mix of WFH and other jobs. Also they are saving a ton of cash

So looking ahead into June many stores are starting to reopen with a certain percentage staying closed. Those that are working in stores still have a reduced work week and scheduled hours. With all of this said I don’t see how commission will come back until we are working full time again. It will also be very challenging if commission is brought back in this type of work environment. Three months from now reps will be wishing they still had guaranteed at risk.
