Now I am hearing rumors they are not done and we (VBG) may have another wave on 11/3? Anyone has more details on this? It seems unlikely?

I work in VBG and volunteered, but was not selected. I have 35 plus years here and was told by my Director to be patient and I will get the RIF in January when the reorg takes place. He also said the present RIF was 2% of the employees and the January RIF will be 5% of the employees (these numbers are company wide, not just VBG).
I’ve been told to expect a restructuring but that the layoffs should be done
The sky is falling we are all doomed run to the closest cave and save yourselves
Can only hope. You gotta give em hope.
In 2015 it was every Thursday of 4th quarter.
@iwa+1jpQ6366 Poster. VCG got his as well. It was a 2% across the whole board cut.
January '23 will be similar size to this one...more VBG support, some sales not hitting numbers, and plenty of retail wireless.
I bet VBG is done. They have no reason to do a 1 week gap nothing of scale can be decided and they won't have any more results to base it off off.
I bet consumer gets hit next.
I think we are done for now. They usually have another cut in Feb for Retail again. That usually the pattern.
The bloodbath will continue indefinately.
I think we are all done.
This is 22 years of experience talking.
Just my gut.
Hopefully it's the package for associates...surplus EISP or VSP
Historically, VZ has taken the approach to get it all over with on one day (pulling the bandaid off quickly). I would not be surprised to see more next May or June, but like the other poster said, anything is possible.
at this point anything is possible

I think we are done, at least for VBG
